We have been discussing the older army books as well.
Currently we have come up with the following proposals for Army specific rules changes or clarifications.
Army book changes
All Battle Standard Bearers are allowed to take all Mundane Equipment normally allowed for Hero level characters of their race.
Beastmen:
All Beastmen; Beastlord, Wargor, Shaman, Great Shamans, Gor, Minotaur and Bestigor units are allowed to take a Mark of Chaos. The point cost for these upgrades is the same as it is for Warriors of Chaos (per the Warriors of Chaos army book) units and apply the same effects. You can have a Khorne marked Shaman.
Gors and all types of Ungor now have the Ambush rule per the BRB. Only half of the units eligible to ambush may take advantage of the ambush rule.
Dark Elves:
Murderous Prowess only applies to wounds caused in the hand to hand combat phase.
Lizardmen:
Predatory Fighter works for all models that are fighting in the hand to hand combat regardless of what base to base position they are in. ie – Saurus Warriors making supporting attacks can use their Predatory Fighter ability.
Tiktaq’To can join units of Terradons.
Tomb Kings:
All models within 12” range of the General can march.
Models that are deployed via Entombed beneath the Sands may choose to set up per the normal deployment rules instead of using the Entombed beneath the Sands rule.
Undead Constructs now regain wounds 1/per spell and not 1/magic phase.
High Elves:
Frost Heart Phoenix ability of -1 to STR aura does not stack with the presence of additional Frost Heart Phoenixes.
Wood Elves:
Enchanted Arrows of all types may be repeated throughout the army and are not restricted to one type of arrow per army as per the magic item rules in the BRB.
End Times units and rules:
End Times books and rules are no longer in effect. The exception is all the units from the End Times books are allowed with the following rules and exceptions.
Lore of Undeath is allowed in Warhammer 8.5 IWFB
Stomfiends: Stormfiends now take modifiers for range and for shooting multiple shots. The turn Stormfiends emerge from tunneling Stormfiends may not charge and count as having moved. If they end up on top of a unit after they emerge from tunneling then they are placed 1” away from the unit they landed on and may choose on what flank they are on.
They are skirmishers so they can move and fire without penalty.
