The Swamp troll is a rare breed of troll and very uncommon in the Warhammer world. Unlike most trolls, Swamp Trolls are solitary beasts and generally shy away from river troll communities to find an area for their own. Once settled in a nice swampy bog it is a unlikely that they will move again voluntarily. Whilst rare, Swamp trolls are spread across the Warhammer world and wherever swamps and damp places exist they may be found. Swamp Trolls have profound regeneration abilities like the rest of their brethren however have some differences. The most notable of these is their extendable tongue which reaches longer than a man! This is their main hunting utensil and Swamp Trolls will remain stationary under water hoping to catch small prey with their tongue. This patient and cerebral hunting pattern points to a higher intelligence than other species of troll however Imperial scholars speculate that their sedentary lifestyle has caused their legs to become more bowlike and atrophied than other troll species over generations causing causing a reduction in their overall mobility. Such scholars also speculate that due to the size and nature of their tongue Swamp Trolls lack the ability to vomit although this has never been proven. On occasion hunters of various races have been able to track down and capture a live swamp troll. When removed from their natural habitat Swamp Trolls become dependent on their captors for food and after some time have been known to dutifully follow their captors around in much the same manner as a very large, stupid pet. So long as a Swamp Troll is not exposed to prolonged extreme dryness they can exist on land without issue.
One or multiple Swamp trolls may be taken by any army as a rare choice. Each Swamp Troll is its own separate unit.
Note: point for point Swamp trolls are inferior to other trolls however their unit size is one rather than 3+ and they can be used by any army. Whilst still suffering from stupidity a Swamp Troll is more dependable than other troll breeds.
Any feedback welcome.
