Quick update. I assembled 2 units of Reiksguard with command. The musicians were made from the Reiksguard musician on foot model. The war altar is pinned together as smaller assemblies. The flags, griffon statue, grand theogonist, cart, and horses all can be painted separately. Im going to use the Valten models as Archer Lectors. The Valten model on 50mm base has a separate 100mm by 50mm base that it fits inside. When its on the bigger base I'm going to use him as an arch lector on war altar.

Epic nostalgic hit! That plastic Bright wizard came with my very first White Dwarf! That's an amazing collection of wizards. My one had the plastic Light Wizard. I think they may have had a wizard from each of the colleges.

Just curious, do you have a lot of dogs of war metal models as well? Dogs of war was the second army I collected back in the 90's. I have sold the army twice and recollected it 3 times. I have at least one unit of every unit they released from fifth edition on.

All these shiny thing makes me curious That collection is a beauty! He probably has equally large armies for each race. All pewter. Every model made represented. He just doesn't want to make our heads explode, showing us everything all at once. -P.S.- The Teutogen Guard ARE NOT Kislev! They are Middenheimers! (My army's home turf - and my favorite models.)

All these shiny thing makes me curious That collection is a beauty! at one time I played with a large group but over the years everyone drifted apart. During the early days I collected every army but undead and lizardmen. I finally settled on empire and decided that I needed every possible unit. Back in those days just about everything was cheaper in plastic so thats the route I went with building my army. As the group splintered I became more interested in the hobby and collecting aspect of warhammer. It was at this time I became a little obsessed with metal miniatures. I currently have three painted armies, empire, dogs of war and halflings that I use the empire rules for. At last last count I have over 5000 games workshop metal miniatures. I have over 500 halflings, 700 dwarves, 150 chaos dwarves, 300 hobgoblins, a boat load of old metal ogres, bretonnians, dogs of war, and a huge metal orc and goblin army. For years I just collected and stored the miniatures because my wife and I were going to move. I didnt want to worry about moving assembled models so I just kept them stored. Ten plus years later we still havent moved so I have decided to start assembling some of my collection focusing on the empire for now. Any way here is a photo of my painted halflings. This weekend Ill take a photo of my curio cabinet.

Agreed, they were just included because I assembled them this week. I love the models but the standard bearers are so delicate. The poles are just to thin and weak. It was a real pain replacing the broken pole with a stainless steel welding rod. Wissenland is my favorite province. Hopefully this weekend I can take a picture of what I have painted.
