Just curious what the biggest point epic game people have played. For myself it was a 3 vs 3 game, 5000 points each person (so 30,000 points total both sides combined). It was a pretty crazy game and took ALL Day (to be expected).
It was a Storm of Magic game my old club played - I think we had 4 a side and 4,000 points per player so 16,000 a side.
I brought along a load of Dark Elves and Vampire Counts, but the highlight was deploying my Forge World Emperor Magma Dragon for the first and only time - with a level 4 wizard upgrade it clocked in at 830 points. It charged a crappy Hero level wizard (can't remember exactly what) on an Arcane Fulcrum, completely flubbed its attacks, including its breath weapon, and barely scraped a win in the combat - but win it just about did, and the dragon crawled up onto the Arcane Fulcrum to bellow its triumph, easily the biggest, heaviest and most expensive model on the table. Surely nothing now could dislodge it.
Next turn, my opponents threw their very last magic dice at "Unbind Monster", cast it successfully and the Magma Dragon fucked off, deciding it had something better to do in the Blackspine Mountains.
To this day, this remains the worst thing that has ever happened to me in Warhammer. I don't remember anything else from the rest of the game
Our 30k game was 5k of my beastmen, 5k of chaos warriors, and 5k of chaos dwarfs vs 5k of dwarfs, 5k of im drawing a blank, i think that guy deployed entirely on a side of the table i wasnt on, and 5k of random monsters(some sort of souped up verminlord munched my minotaurs and doombull). Let me play beastmen characters and magic items ive never taken before or since!

That is intimidatingly epic! Biggest I've done was 3v3 4000pts each Storm of Magic game for a campaign. It took the whole day, the last roll for the game was me making a desperation play which caused a draw. It meant the whole thing had no impact on the campaign, I've never felt so satisfied
cheers, Mr. Fox. we've put the pictures up on a few places back when we played the game. I don't think Dakka was one of them but, maybe they made the rounds.
and that is not Kholek. That is Krakanrok, the father of all dragon ogres. His awakening signaled the End Times were upon us. We used him as a terrain piece that moved towards the city and handed out impact hits. The game ended when he reached the gates.
