Hey, hope you're all well. I managed to paint three figures today, but only finished one - the other two need base decorations added, but I played around with some spring leaf scatter this time. I think it looks nice. I will get better at using it!

Your steady progress on this army is great to see. I've always been a batch painter, so my armies grow in fits and spurts, but it's got to be rewarding seeing your army grow steadily day after day.

Thanks sedge! I've never really painted much before this army (a handful of figures across several decades!), but I've really been enjoying it, so much so most of my other entertainment has given way to this. Much needed after stressful days in a busy shop and it's great to see them ready for battle. I've even got my six year old daughter painting models too, (I've given her loads of heroquest models, and other fantasy ones) and I think she is doing great! Rather worrying, she loves putting blood on weapons... hmmm... I'll have to do an army shot so far soon.

It has been a few days, but finally managed to sit down and paint for a few hours and finished three ungor, with one more almost base-coated! Here they be! I think they turned out okay.

Nice to see such love for the old metals, they work well with the shields from the plastic kit. The one in the middle is a really old one, older than the 2 on the outside I assume?

It's great how well old metal models have held their age! Well done on the paint job!

I really like them, they have a lot of character. I've almost ran out of ungor shields sadly, and will have to use a mixture of goblin and other shields for the last twenty odd. I'm not sure how old they are, but I believe they are all from the same period, though no idea really!

No painting done for quite a few days, though I have three days off work starting tomorrow, and I primed 6 harpies and finished the shields and priming of the ungors ready for painting, so I shall start tomorrow !

Gah, how is it I fail to spot so many mold lines until I put paint on them, haha. Oh well...

They hide until you get the camera out. It's a well known trick. They're sneaky like that.
