Great-looking Mastiff Packs! I'm not sure if they'll last particularly long in such small units, but they'll be nice little annoying 'darts' that can bait Frenzied enemies, threaten flanks and force enemy units to waste all their fire on them to give your unarmoured Warriors some slack. Also I like to see the use of MSU tactics in 8th Edition, could never stand the obsession with Hordes in this edition. I never liked the inclusion of Stone Throwers in Eliasson's army list, it just didn't fit with the warfare style of the Ancient Celts and I thought it particularly lazy when he just called them Stone Throwers, the exact name of the unit type in the rules, and couldn't be bothered to think of a Celtic-style name for them. However, those are nice 3D models, great interpretations of Roman Onagers that would fit fantastically into my Roman Tilea army list that's also in the works.

Honestly I completely agree. The fact is Albion suffers so badly from lack of shooting and doesn’t have the same off sets as other non short armies (no thick chaos armour, no resurrection, like vamps) I think the only real way Mathias knew to mitigate it a but was to give them access to, what is essentially bretonian strength stone throwers. My personal narrative are that they’re abandoned Tilean onagers that have been taken and are now in use by the Albionites

So the Tilean onagers were abandoned and are now being used by the Albionites. Together with entire packs of Tilean corso mastiffs being integrated with the Wolf hound hunting kennels, the Albionites continue to go from strength to strength as they vanquish all who dare to attempt invasions of their homeland.

My personal narrative are that they’re abandoned Tilean onagers that have been taken and are now in use by the Albionites I wouldn't say Albion has a lack of shooting. In Matthias' list they have: - Youngbloods with Slings, Javelins or Hurled Heads
- Horse Warriors with Javelins
- Chariots with Javelins
- Hunters with bows
- Javelins from Mastodon Crew
So not exactly short of missile attacks, particularly when Standing and Shooting. Additionally his list does have resurrective capabilites, with Regrowth from the Lore of Life plus Gift of Life from the Lore of the Truthsayers (though it's subpar for infantry and more useful for Monstrous Infantry), and Earth Blood from Life gives a unit a 5+ Regeneration save and Light of Battle from the Lore of the Truthsayers gives a unit a 5+ Ward Save.
Additionally my own ruleset gives them some more long-ranged options - Tribesmen can have bows instead of slings or javelins, and they are Core so you can have more archers if you wish, Hurlers have a 24" Strength 4 ranged weapon, Bowlers have a Strength 5 16" ranged attack with Multiple Shots (2).
However, abandoned Tilean Onagers is a nice lore usage to excuse them being in your army, and fits the Onager models well. They look great now that you've finished them!

Sorry lack of shooting was the wrong thing to say, they have ranged options. Absolutely, they have shooting but yea, defiantly would rather your core Bowmen for some actual proper ranged punch

Kit bashed a unit of 20 Druid Neophytes for this month. This was a fairly costly unit, I had to buy individual sprues off of eBay 😓 but they should look great when I’m done

I had to do a double-take when I saw the title of this thread. I'm late to this discussion, but as someone who is just starting an Albion army, your amazing work is hugely inspirational. Awesome!

Cheers Mark, I wanted them to fit the army over all but since each one is kinda a holy man and advisor in his own right, I had to make sure each had something a little different, hence the staffs

Updates have been far to infrequent! But you made up for it with these 'neophytes'. A bit of an odd concept for a unit in battle in my opinion. Great choice of models and good paint job though. Could you maybe start including name/manufacturer when you pull out these cool, exotic minis?
