Hey guys,
Questions for KOW players, especially those that have attending KOW tournaments.
In the KOW rulebook, under the Base Sizes heading, there is a section labeled "Exceptional Base Size." This states if you have a model that needs to have a wider base (such as exceptionally large heroes, monsters, etc), you may use the smallest base that you can fit your model on.
Do players take issue with anything in tournaments regarding this rule? For example, a Goblin King on Chariot is suppose to be on a 50 x 100 mm base. If I use my Grom's chariot model which is on a 75 x 100 mm base, is this an issue? According the rulebook is is not an issue. But I'm curious how the community and tournament scene feels.
Also, in the Goblin army list, there is a monster called a Slasher. It appears to be a huge spider and represent a WFB Arachnarok Spider. Can I use an actual Arachnarok model as a Slasher? I ask because of the base size...
I don't think these base issues are a problem and as far as I'm concerned the rulebook seems to support these issues. But, again, curious what the tourney scene is like...
Thanks!

I have no clue but I would say Corey R. would be a great person to e-mail to get his take on it.
If I remember right when units touch they get their entire attack profile against their enemy. There is no counting individual models, just is the unit touching the enemy. So this would seem to make base size a bit less important.

The exceptional base size basically required you to base a hero type model as close as you can to the base size of their type. That's really straightforward
