strutsagget you're crazy. I'm allowed to say that because I'm crazy too... I have...3 armies in boxes waiting for their turn in the sun. EDIT: 4! Dark Elves. Empire. Lizardmen. Ogres. I've been snatching up Dark Elf lots on eBay that were good deals and/or that I could trade models for, I think I have around 8,000 points of them now. Still need about 4 bolt throwers though (I only have 2 ) I actually may trade away my Empire to my Empire friend (he's building up to 20,000 points of Empire). I'm hoping for either more Dwarves or more Lizardmen. Lizardmen I have around 4000 points. Not a lot of core though that's something I need to focus on. Ogres I only have about 1000 points. I have a single Hunter as a character, a cannon, some maneaters, and some leadbelchers. EDIT2: 5! How could I forget my newest acquisition! Daemons of Nurgle! I've got my first 10 plaguebearers, and 30 more are on their way in the mail as I write this! 2 get started! boxes and a great unclean one are all I need for my more immediate needs with this army. Ultimately I want to bring the Nurgle contingent up to 6000 points and then I would also like to add 3000 points of Slaanesh Daemons, 3000 points of Tzeentch Daemons, and 3000 points of Khorne Daemons, all led my a greater daemon of their respective god.

This is a very good start! I've made some highlights above, mostly with names for 8th edition. Straight off, you'll want to get two engineers at least for both of those HBVGs. They always need to go together. You'll also probably really benefit from getting a War Altar kit. You can use the Arch Lector model (as well as Volkmar the Grim model) for your Warrior Priest / Arch Lector models. You'll want those as they provide your units Hatred. The Arch Lector can also make a decent general for your army. You'll want a BSB model. One on foot and one mounted would be good to have. Also, while looking at Captains, you'll probably want a Captain on Pegasus (Captasus). He can be an awesome tool for the Empire. Don't worry about getting to the general on griffon kit straight off. Looks super cool and makes a GREAT centerpiece for your army, but sucks in play. Better to get the basics first. Captains are about as far as you need to go. Generals aren't that good. They can strengthen your lines and make them much less likely to run from combat. The Grand Masters are awesome though. If you want a fighty character, he's your man. It also really helps that he'll be packing a 1+ or 2+ armor save. Archers. Take these guys in groups of 5 as detachments and sit them out in front of their parent unit as chaff/redirectors. They can also work really well as bunkers for your wizards behind your lines. Handgunners are alright, but a bit too expensive IMO. Crossbows are a tad better since they have greater range. Halberdiers, Archers, and Knights should make up the bulk of your core. If you want to have some good, destructive fun, get a horde of Flagellants. They die in droves, but they hit hard-as-nails and are Unbreakable. I've seen them tear through Chaos Warriors like hot butter. There wasn't a single Warrior left standing after combat with them. Greatswords are good, but not great. Think Executioners, but slower. I have so much more to tell you, but I should probably do that in the Empire tutorial thread.

Yeah, we do have an addiction I can't stop collecting though! I was supposed to wait one more year... But when no one bet on it and I asked if he would lower his price I could not resist.

I second flagellants, I’ve had some bad experiences vs them with my dwarves and they look immense fun to use.

I just finished another Teutogen Guard. This time the Musician. I also completed 3 other regular guys but I don't have pics of them yet. I'll update this when I get new pics.
