Interesting. Still not on board with the sleds but everything else is surprisingly and pleasantly ....tame. No half-ice, ice crystal-chugging (or chucking) bear-humans. No ice-winged archangels of ice with glowing ice lances. This could have been much worse! There is still hope for the Old World to be recognizable.

Seconded! Pleasantly surprised. Seems they've shown all the oddball stuff first.
Liking the kossars, streltsi and other more mundane units. The sleds dragging their magical ice around them are just daft. The magic bear is... Acceptable. The orthodox warrior priests are a nice touch.
All in all a mish-mash of fantastical and historic tropes which is what I feel is just right for warhammer.

About time too! Immortal Empires can now also be played by anyone who owns the third instalment of the game - you don't need the first and second; only to unlock playing as the legendary lords from them. I don't know who else is playing, but I'm absolutely loving Immortal Empires, rampaging across the entire Warhammer world. I've done it with Vlad, Taurox and currently Durthu now. The new races from the current game don't appeal so strongly to me (though I did a Daemon Prince campaign when the game launched and a brief Kislev one to unlock Boris), but I think the Chaos Dwarf playstyle/army should really appeal to me. It's the rock-solid Dwarf infantry and lethal ranged threat combined with fast moving monstrous units and destructive magic. What could be better?

I’m playing it at the minute. Just completed a total map domination with the dwarves (as you would expect!).

I would personally quite like to see the Realm of Chaos added to IE. Could have a couple of static gates then maybe more could be summoned in certain scenarios or if you managed to manifest cults etc
