How do you all share images? What is the best method for posting pictures? i.e. uploading directly to a post.
I use Tapatalk mobile and I don't love that experience or the end result. I think it downscales for me. I have (in the past) used Photobucket. That resulted in expired links.
Reason I ask... I am about to start a Thread for my new Chaos Dwarf Army. I have 20+ pictures to share. Some background information, I'd rather to all of this on desktop than via my phone. I am just a tad bit of a crotchity old fart when it comes to all of that.
Hmmm. I seem to recall trying to make Google Drive work, with subfolders for images.
How do you all share images?

Like you I prefer using a laptop. As such I upload all my images to Imgur and then use the ‘BB’ link to post them here. It does run the same risk as photobucket where they may change things further down the line

I was using Imagur to upload all my pics, but I do it so often that it was really becoming a second job for me - without pay. Taptalk only took a few load screens and boom. Directly loaded. Saved me so much time and everything is documented here.

Imgur for me
You can use it on desktop or mobile via the app. Most useful for taking pictures on your phone, uploading, then writing what you want on a desktop
Sometimes use tapatalk but it reduces image quality

Tapatalk. I actually pay for it, like $1 a month. It's how I do all my posting as well.

It is sad, but I admit it: I am unable to embed pictures in my posts. It is almost 100% likely that I just try the wrong things/combinations. Therefore, at the moment, I upload the pictures to Imgur and post links to the pics, but this is something I want to improve upon, as I think that embedded pictures work better than links in separate browser tabs. So, what function do I have to use, with which code/link? I have tried "Insert Image" with the link to the picture, and "Insert Code" with the "Embed Post" function of Imgur. "Insert Embed" seemingly does not support Imgur.
Thank you for your help!

I got confused with Imgur too I hope this helps.

I settled on using Tapatalk mobile. It works, but the images suffer in quality. It is the path of least resistance.

Thank you, but I am almost exclusively working with a desktop PC and an iPhone as a camera. knoffles seems to be able to make it work, I just don't get this part to work:

You're able to upload the images successfully to Imgur? If so, go to your Imgur album, click on the image you want - it'll open up larger. Then on the right, are various options for depending on where you want to post the image - Image Link, Direct Link, Markdown Link etc.
Go to BBCode and click "Copy" next to the code underneath. Then just paste that into the text box here - don't bother clicking any of the forum's "insert image" buttons. Once you've made your post, the BBCode will be converted into displaying the image.
An example of the BBCode for an image:
