Regardless of new bases (if any!)... I'm sticking with my current bases.
New stuff I buy can use the bases they come with.
I will not conform!

My metal high elf dragon from 6th ed is on a 50mm base.
No one can tell me it is on the "wrong size", it was bought with it.
I will not conform! 🤣

Amazing how they will (rightly so) credit the legendary designers of past, when their current approach is designer anonymity and OnlyHands for their painting videos!
So is there a general TOW discussion thread/wishlist anywhere here? Would be interesting to see what people are hoping for. *gears up for the great and bloody war between random vs no-random charges factions*

Dont need confirm new bases, because GW did it with the Green Knight 40th anneversery video. The feathers on the head of the Green Knight horse used lean out of the base. In the new video it is still inside of it. Here is the page is where I made a comparison on dakkadakka ( you need to scroll down a bit ): www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/840/807983.page#11514960

This post from the dakkadakka thread catched my attention: " New Base for new produced and sold Sets; -25mm - small Infantry -30mm - larger Infantry -60mm - monstrous Infantry, -30mmx60mm - Cavalry There will be no rules for base measures, you can use your old models with their old bases. You even could use rebased Models with Movement trays for round bases. Launch Set will be (as said) Empire vs. Orcs Bretonia and Khemri were previews to show "those factions are not forgotten, we will bring complete new Stuff for them!" Khemri will get the biggest range overhauls Some older Models will return to production First (6) Factions to get releases will be Empire > Orcs & Goblins > Chaos > Kislev > Bretonia > Dwarfs. " It is still a rumor but sounds plausible.

The angle at which you grabbed a screen capture makes the base look wider than it is. Watch it in motion again and you'll notice it's hard to find the edge of the base so it makes it seem like it's longer. Go 46 seconds into the video and you can see the feathers hanging over the base edge a lot clearer.

We are getting scientific at dakkadakka: www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/downloadAttach/337074.pageI will try to pop out my Bretonnian box where my Green knight is so we can settle this. Of course, if someone can clarify the model size on a old base before I can do it then it would be welcomed.

I mean, you really don't need to do that at all. Seriously, go to 0:40 on the timeline in the video, and scrub through it. Fullscreen the video, click on the playhead on the timeline, hold it down, and slide it forward and backward. You can clearly see how the model overhangs over the edge of the base when either the leading edge or the trailing edge of the base goes flush. If the video were using a 30x60mm base, the entire model would easily fit within the confines of the base edges. Also, I absolutely don't believe they would rebase a legacy model like this. This assertion that this confirms base size increase is getting out of hand lol If you really want to get scientific, you should be comparing focal length, distance and angle of the camera from the model, etc.
