If a Hell Pit Abomination Is crying in utmost frustration - We care not a jot: It deserves what it's got. Its lament is our jubilation.

If a Hell Pit Abomination Is crying in utmost frustration - We care not a jot: It deserves what it's got. Its lament is our jubilation. "Hey ugly man-thing, take that back! Until I turn thy bones in knick-knack! Thou lurk'st, fearest and weepest, We've already come home thou keepest. We've prepared our magic and blades Cos we are the sneakiest Jacks-of-all-Trades!" Cut-stick, The Mightiest and the Meanest Ratlord ever, yes-yes!

Right, I've played a game and now I'm back with a few more questions. Just to be sure.
1) Warplock Jezzails. They are NOT move or fire, aren't they? In AB there is a first paragraph about Move or Fire, then FAQ replaces the profile. Does it replace the whole profile (like the whole greyed rectangle) or only the weapon part (part with range, strength and special rules) leaving the first paragraph intact?
2) Warp Lightning Cannon. When the lightning hits the ground and moves towards the end point where it explodes -- can it be stoped by Monstrous Infantry body like the normal cannonball would if it doesn't kill the model?

1. They are Move or Fire. The amendment only changes the actual profile(what you call the weapon part IS the profile).
2. Skaven AB Official Update Version 1.7, p. 8: Q: If a shot from a Warp Lightning Cannon does not kill a Monstrous Infantry/Beast/Cavalry or Monster model does that shot stop? (p68) A: No. All models are still hit.

Thank you for the accolade, but too much credit, I fear. I just follow Socrates: "As I do not know anything, so I do not fancy I do. In this trifling particular, then, I appear to be wiser ..., because I do not fancy I know what I do not know" (Plato, Apologia, 21b). Hence, in rules' discussions, I generally look up the actual rules, even if I may fancy that I really know them.

With regard to giant rats one of my more annoying tactics in 6th edition was to place two units of two globadiers randomly on the board, when I did that to my mate he was pretty much thinking WTF is going on and had finished deployment. In 8th I use the same tactic with small units of giant rats. The other cheeky thing to do is use a master moulder give him either things catcher or a shock prod if you can get death frenzy on him that's 4 KB or no armour saves attacks. Against low level heroes he can win most fights and being a champ earns extra points if he wins a challenge through the underdog rule.

Wow, thanks, Oldmandan! I actually had employed the minimal sized giant rats unit tactic for demployment to see what the opponent is going to do. But master moulder thing -- that is unhunamely cruel. Which is a true skaven way. Not sure if it will work on vampire lords though. They seem to be so powerful.

Definitely not going to work on a Vampire Lord, I only take aim at heroes with initiatives less than the master moulder. Though you could use it to damage knights. Again the aim of the game is to trap your opponents in a bad situation. Glad you liked the idea.
