Does Skittetleap spell "reveal" the assassin? Case 1: placed from one unit to another. Case 2: placed from one unit to somewhere on battlefield. Is this even legal to picking hidden model as target? "- Where is your assassin? - He is somewhere here ", that's pretty funny. "Skitterleap - may be cast on any friendly infatry character within 12", even if engaged in close combat, even on caster himself. Model may immediately be placed anywhere on batllefield, at least 1" away from enemy." (Page 78) "Assassin - may start the game hidden in one of units <...>. Before he is revealed there is no other way the assassin can be harmed. Hidden assassin can be revealed at the start of any friendly turn or at the start of any close combat phase." (Page 52) Thank you in advance.

I'm pretty certain you can't skitterleap an assassin that has not been revealed yet. You'd have to reveal him at the start of the turn so he could be skitterleaped during the magic phase as the start of the combat phase would be too late.
Someone will be along shortly with page reference and rules quotes, I'm sure.

Assassins, like all hidden models, are not placed on the table, and as such are out of play, unless and insofar specifically stated otherwise. It seems that GW thought this so self-evident, that they have not actually spelled it out as such, except in this old (6th edition) Skaven FAQ: Q. Can a hidden Assassin try to activate the Bands of Power? A. No. He cannot do anything until he is revealed. Thanks! I've recently reread the rules and realized the same. Also the same with O&G nasty skulkers.
