Looking great, and impressively fast progress! Thanks! Day 10: Highlights on the wood. Also did some "wood grain" details behind some shields. Very hard to see detail behind the shields of random members of a 40 model core unit? Probably a poor use of hobby time 🤣

Day 11: Layering on the red for eight skeletons. Short night tonight as my daughter celebrated her fifth birthday (and covid has me feeling particularly lousy).

Day 12: Finished the layer of red on the rest of the unit. Closing in, just the final highlights on the bone and red left to go (and the basing, of course).

Very inspiring to see how much progress you can make with just 10 to 30-ish minutes per day. It's a very nice looking unit!

Very inspiring to see how much progress you can make with just 10 to 30-ish minutes per day. It's a very nice looking unit! Thanks! I would guess I'm averaging 20-40 minutes a day. I've been pleasantly surprised to find that it hasn't been too hard to fit in, and it's easier to go an extra five or ten minutes to finish a stage once you get started. I'm really enjoying it so far and am hopeful it doesn't become a grind. Day 13: Chunky highlight on the red. Got a little extra time today, so was able to knock out this stage on all 20.

Day 14: Orange/red edge highlights on the first half of the unit. Two weeks in and going strong somehow! The day weekend, so I'm hoping to finish off the unit by Monday.

Day 15: As hoped for, got in a longer session and knocked out the rest of the painting on the skeletons. Plan to base the whole unit over the next couple days.

Day 16: Added Some minor basing elements to the whole unit of 40.

Day 17: Really feeling the pain from painting first, basing last. Ugh. Going to learn a lesson from this and base the next unit first, paint second. I basecoated all the basing elements for the whole unit and managed to add texture paint to one regiment base (still wet as pictured).

Lovely thread. Great progress already. Thank you! Day 19: Texture paint on the last six. Got a second session in today, so painted the bases for those skeletons as well. I'm not super excited by the bases, they seem kind of dull. However, I'm choosing to focus on progress and not let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Maybe some grass tufts in a light green?

It's all looking great! A simple dry brush and some tufts on the bases would improve the look for little effort I think.

Tufts will definitely help the bases.
