Hey everybody,
I get to take revenge on the beastmen that killed Morgianne in the last match.
Special rule is max lvl 2 wizards so no prophetess.
I liked the +4 CR but am taking a KOTR bunker instead of a Grail knight bunker.
The Grail knights are without characters and a paladin tries to keep the Terror inspiring Errant knights under control.
Also a Grail Reliquae for fun and giggles :-)
What do you think about this?

How many points is this? Also what lores are your casters? I don't know much about brets but this seems like it has the potential to get the job done. Really seems very similar to what was considered a standard tournament list back when.

2.5k I'm thinking beasts, great for horses and against beastmen. Standard tournament sounds good, I usually see 40 men at arms in these lists and I don't feel like that. Still strugling with what the best role for grail knights is. But fun to find out :-)

Send the grail pilgrims at the Bestigor let them die being happy speedbumps. For the grail knights..... vs Beastmen i think playing them in character will actually work best. Send them after the fearsome monsters and shamans and they should hopefully get the job done. Goodluck in the revenge! Also the Green Knight is awesome. Im such a fan of the model, fluff and in game style. Play the Greenknight as the immortal monster he is.

He'd be great against Empire and Skavens, destroying his warmachines. Against Beastmen I think he can stall units, setting them up for the charge and adding flank/rear bonuses. Smaller units can be slaughtered by him alone. Against monsters I'm not sure...at least he won't die
I'm actually thinking the pilgrims will not be able to keep up with the rest of them. Perhaps mounted yeomen are better

Green knight honestly has a solid chance of defeating any of the beastmen monsters 1 vs 1 and all the beastmen chaff he will dominate. Just make sure with the doloros blade vs monsters you always use the +2 strength option. He will hit first and wound on 3+ or 4+ so eill so damage.

Only played him once and he had three ambushers, who destroyed my trebuchets. That's why I'll deploy differently and will have 4x10 archers defending the trebs.

I changed jobs and haven't played this list. Now I'll have the time and looking over the list, I want to change some stuff. How about
Lords Green Knight Bretonnian Lord (+ Barded horse + Shield + Gromril great helm +Sword of anti heroes + Opal Amulet) --> KOTR
Heroes
Paladin (BSB, Echanted Shield, Barded horse, Virtue of Duty, Relic Sword) --> KOTR
Damsel of the Lady (lvl 2, warhorse, Earthing Rod, The Terrifying Mask of EEE!) --> KOTR
Paladin (Shield,Barded horse, Sword of might, Dragonhelm, Questing vow) --> Questing knights
Damsel of the Lady (warhorse, Stubborn crown) --> Grail knights
Core
11 Knights of the realm (FC, War banner)
10 Peasant Bowmen
10 Peasant Bowmen
10 Peasant Bowmen
10 Peasant Bowmen
Special
9 Questing Knights (FC, Standard of discipline) 5 Mounted Yeomen (Shields, Musician)
Rare
9 Grail Knights (FC, Gleaming Pennant)
2 Field Trebuchet
This means I have 9 grail knights (MR1, stubborn, reroll ld, ITP) 9 questing knights (+1 ld, Ignore panic, reroll fear & terror) 11 knights of the realm (MR1 TERROR, +4 CR) Green knight (Terror, teleport, ethereal, YEAH) 5 yeomen mounted (they know they are going to die) 2 Treb + 4x10 bowmen with stakes

Seems pretty well balanced.
Has some decent hitters and the shooting should make the beastmen come to you.

I would want a second unit of core knights if this were my army.

I could switch the questing knights for some kotr. 2+ armour save is important in these lists.

Have you played the EEFL Bret list yet? It's really awesome. Impact hits, etc.

OHMYLADYWHATISTHIS Since I pray, he begins the first turn. He has 2 named characters (Fourhorn & Kahrag), 2 razorgors, a Jabberslythe, 40 Gors, 40 Bestigors, Harpies, Ungur raiders... How can he have this many bodies? (I checked afterwards...it was legit) All of his ambushers appeared more or less where he wanted. I misplaced my Pegasus knights (again) and they were flankcharged by the Jabberslythe. I really thought the game would be over in an hour
HMM THIS CAN WORK OUT His forces were split in two and the Green knight came to the rescue. Which means I killed his bestigors (with General Kazrag/Kahrag/whatever), kept his Jabber busy, killed his chariots. My trebs did nothing as usual, I really suck at stone throwers. The Gors were giving me trouble, I couldn't flank charge them and they ended up killing my General (they didn't have characters in them so my Sword of Anti-heroes was useless)
THIS CAN GO EITHER WAY In the end, I had a damsel and Grail knight and the Green knight. That means 500 points on the table. He had 564 points on the table. So a close loss.
CONCLUSION I don't really know what I could have done better. I didn't really make any big mistakes this time. The Pegagus knights was a mistake but at least they kept half his force busy. MVP was the Green knight without a doubt. The grail knights shone too. Even the KOTR held their own. I'm thinking about taking no trebs next time since I cannot make them work. All in all it was a fun and close game but the losing streak continues. And my next game is again High Elves which have a 90% win factor :-)

Sounds like a fun game.
I wouldn't give up on the stone throwers, they are really good, you've just been rolling bad.
FYI, the game is a draw. To win in 8th edition one player most have more than 100 points difference in victory points.
Halfhorn is a really cool special character (he's an Ungor hero), how did he perform?
