Both rules pictured for clarity. Does the extra attack from Many-limbed Fiend get rerolls to hit? Axes don't change its strength and the rules it grants "reroll any missed To Hit rolls" seem to imply yes. Would the rerolls be specifically excluded due to the 'augmented' part of Many-limbed Fiend though? What say eefl?   |

The subject of "is never augmented" is "bonus attack," not "Strength." Augments (as is apparent from e.g. "augment spells") can be any kind of improvement. Since the Axes are a magic weapon, Many-limbed Fiend does not benefit from them. It can, however, benefit from augments other than from equipment or magic weapons, as confirmed by Beastmen Official Update Version 1.4, p.3:
Q: Is the extra attack of a Many-limbed Fiend modified by Gouge-tusks? (p91)
A: Yes.

No, because the bonus attack "is always at the model's basic Strength." In earlier editions, "basic Strength" (although AFAIK never defined as such) referred to Strength on the profile. See also here. |
