On their way to reclaim lost treasures, a Tomb King and his army encountered a Dwarf Throng as they were crossing the the grey mountains. Not allowing them to pass freely, the Tomb King prepared for war. The battlefield contained forests, a chapel used by the Border Princes and impassable rock terrain. The tomb kings had the mobility advantage but the Dwarfs had corner the Tomb King army, not leaving much space for it to move around. It was midday when the battle commenced... Nice report.
What were your charge rolls for the first turn that both Dwarf infantry units successfully charged the chariots?
I'd be interested in reading more reports like this...

Neat! I really don't like video reports and much prefer this style of picture and text (yes, I also like rocking in my chair on the porch...comes with the age). There aren't too many reports like this any more. This was a great read, although it would be nice to get a little bit more on the 'why' a particular move was made. I admit I was rooting for the Tomb Guard to do some killing blows but alas it was not to be.

Thanks for sharing. I like this battle report format. It was condensed which made it quick to read but I had no problem following it. Seemed like some pretty bad luck for the TKs.

Thank you all for taking the time to read the battle report. I'm glad to hear it was well received and that you enjoyed it. I hope to be able to bring you more! *Coughs* Kevin C *Coughs* Individually now: KevinC - Thank you for reading! The Dwarfs needed an 8 and a 9 (longbeards, irondrakes respectively) and both got it. Chariots probably should had stayed back a bit more. Would love to do one of these for a game we play when you have time. Naitsabes - Glad to hear you enjoyed the report! We'll try to add more of the "Why" in subsequent reports. Tomb Guard got some killing blows, but just wasn't enough. dannytee - Thank you for reading! TKs did have bad luck this time around. I thought the report was sort of the "right length". There's detail, but it's also not a 30 min. read.

Good report, I enjoyed it.
I definitely like the short length and the pictures.
I must say I was rooting for the Tomb Kings.
I think the report would be improved if both generals had names to give them a bit more personality.
There was 1 thing I didn't understand in the report, the Engineer charged the scorpion (I was thinking.. bad move... Killing blow coming up), did 1 wound for none in return and the scorpion crumbled to death. Why did the scorpion crumble? It had 2 wounds left? I was thinking the Dwarf won combat by 2 (wound and charge) which would cause the scorpion to lose 1 wound (construct rule) leaving the scorpion on 1 wound?
The Tomb King killed the Dwarf Lord in honourable combat so there is a moral victory at least.
I'm looking forward to reading your other reports.

2 other quick points
1. Your opening post mentions tomb kings having the mobility advantage... I smiled, it's not often they have that.
2. I've never used Irondrakes (no models) so it was interesting to see them perform.
