Hey,
I was wondering if anybody can clarify these two rules from the Triple Crown GT for me?
Beastmen armies may select Marks of Chaos for their units as described in End Times: Archaon Beastmen armies use the Beastmen Ambush rule from End Times: Glotkin
Iam unable to find any reference or something of those Marks or ambush rules anywhere.
Thanks for helping!
Regards!

The first one can be found in Army of the Everchosen from Archaon and the second one in the combined Chaos army list from Glottkin, both have sections specifically about how each army is changed from the Army Books to be included.

Thanks, but both give zero useful hits.

Unfortunately, my books are in storage or I'd be able to give you exact page numbers.

Thanks, but both give zero useful hits. That is a weird way to describe opening up the physical book and reading the rule.

It's a weird rule, basically the same as the book, but you don't need a duplicate unit to make the unit Ambush. It's just any unit with BM Ambush:

The tournaments I run have changed "Beastmen Ambush" to the BRB "Ambushers" rule instead. Just makes things simpler. And the Marks of Chaos the Beastmen can get are free! Also we allow all units except Harpies to take marks...

Shurly if you intend to play at a public event -- like at the Triple Crown GT he mentioned -- you must bring a copy of the game's rulebook and any book that has rules for your faction. Of coarse do whatever you want in your own basement. But it is lame to show up to a game without a copy of your faction's rules.

It's lame that they don't provide clarity of the rules for their event.

This, but also maybe don't post copywritten material that can get the board in trouble right after the community at large was given word GW's on the prowl for crackdowns again?

The Marks of Chaos are in the Glottkin book.
Is there a difference in points/effect between the Glottkin book and the Archaon book?

Ah well i was just scrolling the TC pack, as the additions "devastating charge" and some other things to my Bretonnian really made them better in casual games. I was curious what they did for the Beastmen hence my question. And indeed i stopped playing long before the end times so i did miss all those books, just picked up 8th since a year now or something. Thanks for the answers, now i just need to find out what those marks are going to do Regards!

The Marks are the same as the warriors.
Nurgle: -1 to hit in combat Khorne: gain frenzy Slaanesh: immune to fear, terror & panic Tzeentch: +1 to ward saves (or gain a 6+ ward)

Is there a difference in points/effect between the Glottkin book and the Archaon book? there is no difference between the Glottkin and Archaon book in terms of the marks rules. It was just repeated. Giving free marks to Beastmen in their pack is excellent. It doesn’t make them game breaking but boosts their competitiveness.
