Hi all! In what is a quasi-narrative series, this episode is a follow up to the last one.. As a result, a new lord had to step in for the Dwarfs and the organ gun that this throng had was destroyed. So the Dwarfs couldn't bring it. A new Tomb King army came to take revenge for the last battle. Enjoy! Click here for Battle Report over at www.LiveWaaaaagh.com !

Once again fun report to read!
Arkhan did really well. I was surprised when the Longbeards broke...can you go into more detail what happened during that combat?
I really like the simplicity of the reports.

Thank you for the quick responses! Glad to hear you enjoy the content!
The longbeards didn't put stoicism on their banner, so they weren't stubborn. With regards to the combat, static CR won the fight. TKs had a charge, a rear, 2 ranks and a banner, vs 2 banners for Dwarfs so already at a +4. Kill wise, I can't remember the numbers, but they lost combat by about 3-4 and wasn't able to stick around even with re-rolls.
This time, we tried to add some player thoughts as it was one of the pieces of feedback received from the last one, but still try to keep it rather simple and to the point.

Dwarves FTW yet again. As a dwarf player I approve!

Nice report.
In the last battle I was going for the Tomb Kings but after reading in this battle that the Tomb King was actually a supporter of the Usurper Nagash rather than the noble Settra my allegiance shifted in this battle.
A couple of points (dwarfs and tomb kings are 2 of my main armies). Firstly great touch with the summary of what the spells do, saved me trying to remember them.
Secondly. Love that you used the Anvil of Doom! I know it gets some flack for lack of 'competitveness' but in this battle it actually saved your runelord (extra wounds) which was awesome. It also did some crucial damage to the tomb scorpion.
Thirdly. The Irondrakes deserve a medal!
On tomb scorpions which I'm a huge fan of, they can actually assassinate weaker characters with some luck. The runelord is lucky they didn't try and take him out. 4 attacks with the potential for killing blow is often worth it vs Dwarfs as the scorpions will get to strike. 2 scorpions into the Runelord (8 chances for killing blow) rather than the Warmachines (which cannot shoot into combat) could have changed the battle completely.
In a larger battle it is possible to run an Arkhan snipe list with Arkhan + casket (which you had) + a heirotitan for a ridiculously powerful death magic phase.
