Wow! None of them are on bases! Don't tell me someone is going to all the trouble of switching them to round bases?!? That's a LOT of Goblins! And all of those Giants too! Geez, that's a small fortune in squigs! Truly epic!

Looks like there should be a great story to go along with this.

I reminds me of the Empire vs WoC pic in the big 8th edition rule book. That actually looks like the same castle...

Are you sure this isn't a still from Lord of the Rings 2?
Is this at Warhammer World at the moment? If so I might have to pop in for a look. I think I can see some squares in there actually but I think maybe they've sunk most of the bases into flock so it looks like the models are standing on grass.
I wonder how many points of O+G they've got there, must be at least 30k.

Looks like the Bloodbath at Volganof in the big 8th edition rule book. Still, LOOK AT ALL THOSE SQUIGS! There must be a couple thousand dollars in that one group alone?

The people that do stuff like this make me proud happy to be a part of this hobby. So much time, and effort, and $s went in to this... just cause it's cool.

Yeah, me too. At times, it makes me wish that I had just concentrated all my collecting efforts into one army instead of 7 (I just started a Tomb King army - approximately 3000 points now.) If I had done that, I could have had something like this too.

Oh my gosh, my wife would kill me! I'd have to buy another house just to store it all in! I already have a little 12x12 building in my back yard that is consumed with it! Looks like I'll be adding on...

I'm going to be a voice of dissenting opinion ._.
I examined the big showcase works in the first exhibition room, that above and the Skaven vs Dwarves mine battles. They are impressive no doubt, and I do not envy the people hired to do these tasks. I imagine teams of people working shifts, perhaps to make the castle itself, let alone prepare the armies. It is inspiring, breath taking work.
But, and there is a but, the paint jobs on some of what I saw were, basic. Conversions to fallen orcs, were just arms and legs cut off and stuck onto the ground to make corpses. It works, it all works wonderfully, but I still prefer the smaller dioramas from the 80's and early 90's that involved meticulous painting, than incredible numbers painted to a decent standard across the board.
Quantity has a Quality of it's own. I can only really back up what I'm saying with the pictures I took. So bare with me ^^;

Huh. That's disappointing. This full-extent image is the only one I've seen and it excites me. But if I were to examine it as you have, I'd probably feel the same way. I like subtle details. If that could be achieved at this scale, that would be tremendous!
