I think that it's about time that we start discussing the not so humble Chaos Lord in TOW. Regardless if you're looking for the best possible load-out for it or just a fun and/or thematic build this is the place to post your ideas, suggestions and questions! Now that supporting attacks are rare and charges actually matter it looks to me like a take on the old Hortense-build might prove itself very useful. With that in mind I've been eyeing a set-up based around the Flying Carpet for flight and swiftstride, and the Crimson Armour of Dargan for its double-immunity to Multiple Wounds and Killings Blows. With the cost of those two items I think that the best weapon option left to the build would be a simple halberd. The miniscule cost of the Favour of the Gods seems well worth taking as your final magical item in order to maximise your chances for a good roll on the Gaze of the Gods-table. While the Daemon Flesh-gift would be useful to further defend against artillery and other heavy hitters I'm personally leaning more towards taking the Extra Arm-gift for a 6th attack. While I am biased as a Nurgle player toward it I actually think that the MoN might be the best mark option due to the added defense. That being said MoT is also looking good for the build as it provides some help against magic aswell as granting Flaming Attacks. Lastly I'd probably give the model a shield for the extra pip of armour outside of combat it would provide. If old-world-builder.com has its point costs right then said build would cost 335 points, which doesn't seem particularly expensive to me.
