My made to order Tomb with sword & shield has shipped. Pretty lame that GW has conditioned me to think an order shipping after nine days is a pleasant surprise. And even though I paid $10 to ship a single model, it will take an entire week to reach me via UPS super slow shipping.

Nope.. they made me return it (on my own time & expense - local post office is 10 mins drive away) before they would ship the replacement

That doesn't sound legal at all. You should 100% complain about that, and continue to do so until they give you a "gesture of goodwill" apology, whether that be a partial refund equivalent to your shipping costs or a voucher to use in the future.

Oh no, I meant the fuel cost.. was a freepost return.

But in the USA you are legally entitled to keep any merchandise a company sends you that you didn't order. Even if it is an accident. And you are still entitled to the merchandise missing from your order or a refund. consumer.ftc.gov/articles/what-do-if-youre-billed-things-you-never-got-or-you-get-unordered-productsBy law, companies can’t send unordered merchandise to you, then demand payment. That means you never have to pay for things you get but didn’t order. You also don’t need to return unordered merchandise. You’re legally entitled to keep it as a free gift.

Unfortunately I'm in the UK... where the meaning of 'customer service' no longer exists lol

I ordered around $200 worth of the "Made-to-order" Brets close to the end of January, right after they were put up for purchasing, but I still haven't received them yet and haven't even gotten a "You item has shipped!" email. I contacted the support, but they merely sent back an automated "could be up to 180 (!) days message" as their response. This pisses me off, but what can I do?

Made to Order stuff does at least come with a warning it'll take up to 180 days, and it does sometimes take that length of time. I understand complaining about regular orders from GW, which they take far too long to ship, but if you order Made to Order stuff, you need to be prepared to wait a long time to get it.

Yeah, that sucks. It's probably been delayed due to the renovations going on, even though I placed my order a month and half ago. I mean, 6 months? That's an absurd order delay for anything! From a managerial standpoint, once you put something out there for public consumption, you better be ready to go as soon as orders start coming in, and have already produced enough to compensate for the manufacturing delay. They also should've had some indication as to how many units they'd need when accounting for how many TOW Bret boxes sold. This new culture of FOMO they seem to be cultivating is ridiculous and not doing them any favors.

If the choice is between waiting 180 days for made to order models or the models not being s available at all, I'll accept waiting.
