Direct from GW... its a day after launch & mine isn't even dispatched.. surely the idea of 'pre-order' is that you get it before anyone else?!

I got my in store pre-order that I was picking up at the store. As noted above, and on the GW website, North America shipping is experiencing some delays. The stuff shipped to my house hasn't left the warehouse yet.

I'm in the same boat with you. No updates for my direct order since I placed it right when preorders opened. I only ordered the direct only stuff though. But my FLGS also hasn't gotten their order either. I think GW is blaming the light dusting of snow the east coast got last week for their warehouse getting backed up and delaying orders.

Yeah, I haven't received mine from GW or my lgs. I'm only 3 hrs from Memphis (for all our non USA friends, that's not far at all for us), so, I completely understand why they couldn't get out on the iced over roads. Usually happens one week every year. Everything is caked in a couple of inches of ice - not snow.

Not got mine from the webstore and I'm UK based. It said they wouldn't ship until release day apparently and my order says will arrive within 9 days..

I've not had a GW direct pre-order ship until well past release date for the last 2 years now. Usually its about a week after the date, but it can be as long as two weeks.
I fully expect my old world pre-order to not be shipped, have to chase them myself in 3-4 weeks to find out a single item went OOS and delayed it. By the time the email goes back and forth another item will go out of stock and starts the process over again.
It's a common issue with them and they have no regard for what a 'pre-order' actually is. They get a nice loan for a few weeks and then have the cheek to try to refund it and say 'up to 10 days' to send the refund.

Think I lucked out here. In UK for a start.
Ordered the rulebook and Hordes on pre-order day from an LGS I had only just found out about and collected them no probs yesterday morning.
Was randomly in another LGS an hour away on Thursday and he also had all his pre-orders there bagged up ready for Saturday morning.
Managed to order FoF from Ashdown Gaming (online retailer) on pre-order day and the postie delivered it at half nine Sat morning (went online for this as the LGS had already sold out of it).
Poor when you get it quicker from retailers than direct from GW.

(Like goat, chronicallychaotic & horace I'm UK based).
As it is, I'm not in a massive rush thankfully- there's plenty of stuff to get on with!

Not sure whether you were referring to my post there but both those LGS I mentioned had sold out via their limited stock for pre-orders, there was nothing on the shelves. All the UK online retailers sold out of the books on pre-order day as far as I saw. Don’t think anyone has got the books who didn’t pre-order. Unless GW shops have them on the shelves now? Not been in there. |

Darkfire Cafe in St Albans had a TK launch box, and both Arcane Journals when I went in today. They'd sold their Bret boxes and another TK box already.
I preordered my stuff (UK based), and I guess it'll turn up when it turns up. This is the first "new release" I've pre-ordered from GW (Made to Order aside) since something like End Times days.

I’m in the same boat, got my army box and a few other bits from 3rd party and they turned up fine, the book and the bases I ordered direct from GW are just in limbo and of course their website is unable to show order status.
It’s the very definition of a first world problem but GW can be a difficult company to support sometimes, pay more and get it later (if at all) when dealing direct is not how it should be.

I also pre-ordered direct from GW in the Uk.
I called GW yesterday to cancel my order as I was annoyed that I didn't get my books on release day. The local game store 100m down the road from my GW had loads of copies of the books and boxes of TK and brets on release day. So I was slightly annoyed
I called them and they said they'd try to cancel my order if it hasn't been processed yet. Funnily 10mins after calling them to cancel my order I got a dispatch email and a tracking number. And confirmation that it's too late to cancel my order. Seems a little convenient...
