My question is how does First charge (enemy becomes disrupted, which means it can’t claim rank bonus) interact with Warband (gains leadership bonus equal to rank bonus) ?
I assume first charge nullifies Warband making it more likely the unit will fall back (and actually as Warband units tend to have low leadership - fairly likely they will break and flee).
Is that the general view ?

That’s definitely how I read it and how we played it yesterday when my gors lost combat to Pegasus knights. I still had Ld 8 from the general plus the BSB reroll backing that up to avoid breaking. My unit had to FBIGO.

My understanding is also that First Charge would stop Warband's leadership bonus. My reasoning lies in the way that Rank Bonus is described as something you can "claim" from having ranks and therefore arises from it rather than being an inherent part of it. This would then suggest that the phrasing of "current Rank Bonus" in the Warband-rule by necessity relies on what is to you claimable. Since being disrupted stops you from making such a claim the fact of having the actual ranks becomes moot since your "current Rank Bonus" is none.
