Does anyone else find the FAQ Ruling below needs further clarification for pursuing units that FBIGO? (it makes sense for Give Ground).
My reason:
- The rulebook says on P157 that pursuit of unit that FBIGO is a charge
- P213 says that you must keep weapons the same as of the first round fought "following a charge"
- So really I would have expected to be able to change weapons in this scenario
- However clearly this FAQ forbids it, but it opens up new questions of what other charge bonus’ might not apply?
- e.g. Does a lance bonus apply? Does Hatred apply?
- Before I would have said yes, but now I’m not sure

Q: If my unit loses a round of combat and either Gives
Ground or Falls Back in Good Order, can it choose to use
different weapons in the next turn if the enemy made a follow
up or pursuit move?
A: No. Even though the units separated momentarily, they remain
locked in place and engaged in combat once the follow up or pursuit
move has been made. In other words, the combat is ongoing and
neither unit has the time to stow one weapon in exchange for
another (the exception being the time it takes to discard a broken
lance or spear and draw a sword).
