High Elves Turn 1:
So glad that he asked his Dragon Prince lads to carry the Ranger's banner in advance (other than the Banner of World Dragon, which would kill all chivalry and fun), Tyrion and his entourage moved snugly into the swarm, threatening the entire right side of the Empire. Ellyrian Reavers, thanks to Vanguard move, got to the flank of the Besiegers. Same with Eltharion, who took great care to avoid the cannon with engineer by way of the church (One cannon in the face per round was enough for the noble son of Yvresse!). The rest marched forth a bit, especially the Phoenix guards, who had to make sure to be absolutely out of the charge range of the Reikguards (or even Valten if he fancied to go solo). Teclis is a delicate flower, after all! In the magic phase, Teclis successfully cast Throne of Vines, following by a Purple Sun which was promptly dispelled. With Magic Resistance (2), the Reikguards were ready to brace for a huge Searing doom, which ferritized 3 knights. After that, the Eagle Claw tried to shoot a big bolt at the Cannon with the Engineer but failed to hit. Empire Turn 1:
The Militia marched fully forward to tempt the Asurs, while the Reikguards and Spearmen prepared their favorite dish, Anvil and Hammer. Meanwhile, Luka Braganza's regiment had the choice of either to shoot the Dragon Princes very inaccurately (they had soft cover) and get wrecked next turn by Eltharion and the Reavers on the flank OR simply to go face to face with their most urgent threats. Pragmatic as any Tilean, he then ordered a reform, moving back 2'' to be ready for both. On the left side, the Alcatani Fellowship and their supporting knights advanced to challenge both the Swordmasters and the chariot (pikemen are renowned for their skill at skewering of elves equipped with great weapons). Then, the Wizard tried an Iceshard on the Princes but was dispelled. A huge comet was about to fall until Teclis brought out his Scroll of Hoeth and snuffed it. He rolled only 2 to brainswipe so the lucky empire mageling still clung to his memory of that spell though. The shooting phase roared with a massive cannon ball that shattered the Eagle Claw into splinters. The other cannon smacked on Eltharion's cranium as well, but fortunately only haemorrhaged it instead of blowing it off (2 wounds!) Inspired by the tremendous cannonade, the handgunner detachment also managed to knock down a Dragon Prince.

High Elves Turn 2:
Led by Prince Tyrion, the flower of Asur chilvary thundered down at those poor fodder militia and annihilated them. The chariot next to them managed to get to the Reikguards, opening a chance for the Dragon Princes to fight again in this round. The other chariot and the Swordmasters, incensed by the insolence of the lowliest pikemen of Tilea, charged at the Alcatanis. Not fancy at all to hit at the Besiegers while being severely injured, Eltharion opted to go for the hated cannon but his Stormwing was blown off by some unexpected heavy wind. To protect the Warden from getting peppered by the Tilean heavy crossbowmen, the Ellyrian Reavers valiantly moved themselves inch close to the Besiegers to block the shots (they wouldn't dare to charge those full plated Tileans alone though). Finally, Teclis with his Phoenix Guards marched forward to support the efforts of his brother. The magic wind was super strong this round with 11 power dices vs 6 dispel dices. Teclis decided time to up the cheese by calling forth the power of the Staff of Lileath, yielding extra dices for every spell. Throne of Vines was let on, a huge Iceshard on the Reikguards was scrolled while the Okkam's Mindrazor on 26 to buff the Princes was barely dispelled. With both the Arch-Lector and the Wizard at their wit's end, Teclis cast Savage Beast on Tyrion, making him possesing almost the power of Khaine with 7 Strength 10 attacks! The combat commenced with the Challenge the world over had long awaited, Tyrion the Defender of Ulthuan versus Valten, Chosen of Sigmar. With the virility of Horros, the Asur Prince had no problem chopping down Valten. But with Iron Resolve rolled on 9, Valten rose up, called on the might of Sigmar that allowed him D3 more Strength, Toughness, Weapon Skill and Attacks (which rolled 2). All 6 attacks then amazingly hit Tyrion bar none. The power of Ghal Maraz literally burned up every organs within the Prince's body that even the cute Heart of Avelon could not save. Thus Tyrion senselessly slumped off Malhandhir while a titanic clash raged around his body. The Noble Battle Standard Bearer and the Dragon Princes performed heroic deeds worthy of songs by annihilating all the Reikguards and even wounded Karl Franz once (luckily Ludwig, the loyal bodyguard, jumped in front of the lance and took the thrust for himself!) To avenge, the Emperor struck down 2 Caledorians. The Imperials took a pounding indeed yet with Valten and Ludwig, they were all Stubborn (with Rerolls) and so refused to yield. In the other rather less significant combat, the Alcatanis managed a draw with the Chariot and the Swordmasters. Any other unit of Pikemen would have no problem seeing those off with such an advantageous number on their side, but these were the Alcatani Fellows who hit like a bunch of Goblins no less! Empire Turn 2:
“For the Emperor!” The Arch-Lector roared as he fervently led his Spearmen to join the main fray to aid his worshiped Karl Franz. On the other side, the Empire Knights rushed to the flank of the Tiranoc Chariot engaged with the Fellowship. The magic act started and ended swiftly with the Celestial Wizard threw all 6 dices to conjure Iceshard Blizzard at the Dragon Princes, which Teclis failed to stop. In a rather bad advertisement to all potential employers, the Besiegers released 14 shots at the Reavers as close as 1 inch to their nose yet only knocked 2 of their saddles. The Ellyrians promptly passed their panic. The cannon next to the Tileans imitated their grossly deficient marksmenship by misfiring horribly, putting it out for 2 turns. The cannon with Engineer fared slightly better, combining with the handgunners, it managed to send 2 Phoenix guards to Asuryan himself. The exciting combat started again with the Asur BSB secretly quaffed a huge dose of steroids before challenging Valten (Potion of Strength). And he should have killed the barely alive Sigmar chosen but for 3 last ditched successful Ward Saves. Valten struck back, but thanks to the Crown of Atrazar, the shield of Merwyrm and a massive amount of luck, the BSB still lived. The Dragon Princes themselves continued to perform examplarily despite the Iceshard, killing 4 spearmen and finally dispatching Ludwig Schwartzhelm at the loss of 2 of their number. The Asur unit lost by 1 during the Combat Resolution and thankfully they held due to reroll at 7. Then they even managed to reform to make room for the Phoenix Guards to charge in the next turn. That was simply beyond expectation after the defeat of Tyrion! The other combat saw the gulf of class between crap pikemen and the scholars of Hoeth after ASF had run its course. The Swordmasters slaughtered a great deal of poor Tileans so despite the flank charge which caused a wound to the Chariot, the Knights had to chicken off. The Alcatanis barely held due to steadfast though.

Wow, Teclis and Tyrion are underperforming like a Ogre at a needle class. Did not expect that. Rivetting story.

High Elves Turn 3: “For my brother, the future Phoenix King and overlord of Tilea!” Teclis surprised even himself at shouting that deeply politically incorrect mumbo-jumbo when leading the Phoenix Guards into the carnage. Meanwhile, the tactically astute Eltharion swooped at the flank of the handgunners, who should have run but was ordered to stay to save the cannon (the Imperial command thought that the gunners were far enough from the main fight to stop the Elven Warden from overrun into it). At the same time, the Reavers exploited the gap between the Besiegers and the building and rushed through to threaten the misfiring cannon. The magic wind was pretty low at 6 vs 5 but that was enough for Teclis to conjure an Irresistible Force Savage Beast of Horros for all friendly Characters within 12”. To make it more hilariously painful for the empire, he rolled 7 for the Miscast, puting one wound on the opposite Arch-Lector and killing 2 spearmen (2 Phoenix Guards had to bite the dust as well unfortunately). In the close combat phase, Eltharion and his griffon had no problem scattering the handgunners. Then by a great stroke of good fortune, he managed to overrun nicely to the flank of the engaged spearmen. To the eternal shame of his family, the Noble BSB with 6 Strength 7 attacks failed to hit Valten even with rerolls (that's probably 1% chance happening!) And he swiftly got cut down by the multiply-blessed Sigmarine. Other than that, the combat was an unmitigated disaster for the Empire. Imbued by the strength he had never known in his entire life, Teclis butchered the Arch-Lector, Caladryan knocked 6 spearmen to the dirt while Eltharion kicked ass all over the place. In short, 19 spearmen perished. A regret though as 5 Phoenix Guards assigned to assassinate the Celestial wizard failed to kill him outright. Of course with Valten alive, the entire Empire line was still stubbornly unyielding. Yet he was too far for the Alcatani boys. Despite finally destroying the chariot, those Elven greatswords were too devastating to them. They broke and got obliterated on the run. Empire Turn 3:
The situation looked desperately grim for the champions of Men. The Besiegers slowly dislodged themselves and moved toward the main clash, in a slim hope of somehow getting in the action (very brave and professional sell-swords they are!) The craven and rather inconsequential knights in the far left rallied somehow. In the last gamble, the Wizard threw all 6 dices on Iceshard at the Phoenix guards but his tremendously superior Teclis countered it with ease. Broken, he sobbed impotently while getting his head chopped off by the vengeful Loremaster. In the now most celebrated duel in all Elvish folklore, Caladryan assumed the rather suicidal mantle "the champion of Elfdom" and challenged Valten. And he didn't fluff it, for once. With Valten dead and the whole Empire Spearmen regiment destroyed, Karl Franz took the better part of valor and 'tactically fled'. Of course with no shame on his part, since he almost single-handedly wiped out the Dragon Princes. But you bet it, that day belonged to Teclis and he, along with the Phoenix Guards, chased fast enough to capture the Emperor. Epilogue: “...”Damn, they got Karl Franz!'' Luka Braganza cursed. The two cannons were soon to be overcome and his unit was the only intact and capable human unit in Trantio. “Throw away your pavises, lads, we'll take advantage of the coming night and run as fast as we can to our home, Miragliano! We'd better fight and die there, not here among those sleazy Trantians who will rob our corpses of everything. Heck, they will even sell to their moms our gold teeth as earrings, then good bye eating in the world of Morr, lads!” Thus spoke, Luka managed an exemplary speedy retreat off the field for his Besiegers.
Meanwhile, Teclis tried his best to revive Tyrion, but of no avail for now. “We'd probably need to call on the Everqueen.” he thought. But that was for the future. The High Loremaster then moved to the next room, where he presided over the new Treaty between the Asurs and the Empire of Men signed by the captured Karl Franz. The Emperor would pay 1 million gold pieces for his release, relinquish all his claims in Tilea and resume instantly normal relations with Ulthuan and all High Elves. “He's worth 10 million himself but we just need him for all the Orcs, Chaos and vampires in the world!”...

Interesting match-up, wonder who will win. My money is on the pointy-ears right now. Did you really bet any money on this? I sincerely hope you did Yeah, Teclis came through and channeled his brother's spirit in close combat! You wouldn't want to meet him if he has 4 attacks, which essentially makes him as good as Karl Franz with Runefang. Nevertheless the only reason he survived the battle at Toughness 1 was simply thanks to Eltharion hitting the spearmen in the flank. So only 1 maximum spearman could attack Teclis per round for the whole Turn 3. More than one Strength 3 poking per round would surely spell the doom for the daintiest creation of Asuryan! Anyway, here is the traditional Men of the Match Award: The Wimpy Nerd and The Sullen Hottie

You should take these battle reports, put them in a book, then sell the book to me for $20. Take my money!!! Your work & maps & descriptions & pictures are borderline professional.
Thank you for sharing as always.
