Hi all!
It's been a while, but excited to share with a new battle report from a battle that took place this weekend.
The set up:
By the time the fleet approached the sands of The Land Of The Dead, the Skycutter had already done a few rounds nearby and noticed no movement - from neither a being that was alive or undead. The fleet had stopped north of the great city of Zandri, near the mouth of the Great Mortis River. The Eagle Eye Bolt thrower crew gave the thumbs up and Rinuthel, the Sea Helm in charge of the expeditionary force, gave the go-ahead to disembark. As the Sea Guard began unloading the horses and equipment, Aletherell, the Archmage, noticed something in the distance and alerted the Skycutter crew.
The Roc flew swiftly ahead. The Eagle Eye Crew could barely hang on from the speed and the wind. As they moved over the dunes, the picture became clear: An undead force had taken notice of the intrusion.

Very unfortunate for your High Elves (need more re-directors) but great battle report! Can't wait for more.

Those mummies have scary chariots. Hacvinf that many impact hits is perfect for fighting HE. Better luck next time

Cool report. I was rooting for the Tomb Kings. The Tomb King player needs to remember his army special rules, I was annoyed that he kept forgetting things - Tomb King players can't afford to forget stuff.

How were the Ellyrian Reavers able to charge on the 1st turn? You can't charge on the first turn if you vanguard move.

That's right. First turn can't charge. That was an oops.

Hi all, Thank you so much for reading, for your comments and feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the battle report! A few quick items to address: High Elves definitely are low on re-directors. I think an eagle might be needed! The chariots usually don't do amazing but this time, they rolled really high on the # of impact hits so it was a very good scenario for them! I was playing Tomb Kings and hadn't played them in a while. Forgot some rules The Reavers charged because they had chosen NOT to vanguard. And stayed in regular starting position. Our understanding was that if they don't vanguard and move up, then they could charge. That's how we played it at least. As if they were a normal unit. Again, thank you for the feedback and comments. We have 1 more battle report coming soon!

Reavers M9 max 12" charge addition from dice = 21" max charge range.

We're playing on a 3x3 table. We still use the 24" apart though but the Tomb King's horse archers scouted to be about 13" away, not thinking ravers would charge as I assumed they'd vanguard. Instead, they chose not to vanguard and the horse archers were a 5" charge away.
