Lords: Archmage lvl 4 with 4+ward save. Dispel scroll and iron curse icon. Going lore of high magic in unit of 15 archers.
295 points
Loremaster of Hoeth with armor of silvered steel and book of hoeth. Going in a unit of 23 sword masters.
330 points
Heroes: Noble BSB with dragon armor, shield, barded steed, spear, and BOTWD obviously going in a silver helm unit
174 points
Noble on eagle with dragon armor, enchanted shield, dawn stone, and sword of might. Eagle has armor piercing upgrade because I had 5 points to put nowhere else.
185 points
Core: 15 archers no command 150 points
17 silver helms with shield and full command.
421 points
2 units of 5 each Ellyrian Reavers with bows no command
190 points/95 each unit
Special: 23 sword masters with full command and banner of eternal flame
339 points
28 phoenix guard with full command and standard of discipline.
465 points
Rare: 3 Bolt throwers 70 points each for 210 points total
Frostheart Phoenix 240 points
For a total of 2999 points.
So what do you all think? Is it a well rounded take all comers list that is suitable to deal with Skaven and all its horrors?

Looks solid enough to me. A good range of units.
Are you doing 6 x 4 for the Swordmasters?

I like it. It's got chaff/redirectors, chaff clearance, and a good mix of offense and defense. You took enough bolt throwers to have an impact on the game so that should help.
Good luck against those cowardly rats!

Yep looks good to me. Only thing I would change is I would put the book on your Archmage then something else on the Loremaster. I personally can never resist the Shield of Merwyrm + a cheap magic weapon for Loremasters

I personally can never resist the Shield of Merwyrm + a cheap magic weapon for Loremasters I never once took the shield of merwyrm, it actually seems decent. I was looking to min cast spells with the lore master using the book of hoeth. If I get 7 power dice I can still cast about 3 spells. What magic weapon would you take on him? Coming with a GW I don't see a damage weapon as viable also cause he is with other sword masters.

Shield of merwyrm is one of the best High elf magic item for points. The main combo for my Loremaster is The book, That shield and sword of anti-heroes (you will get ASF, +1A,+1Str for most of the time thing going serious). if I don't take the book, then i can just replace it with a Dispel scroll, Golden Crown of Atrazar and Potion of Strength (or Toughness). Lots of good choices.

Was going to comment on the Loremaster...see above.
Archers are decent magebunkers. I prefer the Phoenix guard but you are going to play offensively with them in tandem with the Swordmasters? Still, a 3+ ward save unit is just yummy.

I just think Loremasters who are inevitably fighting in the frontline with T3 is a little frightening for me. Even with a 2+ AS. The shield is a steal at 15 points. Sword of Anti Heroes is always a nice choice, as is Ogre Blade/Sword of Might or a Potion of Strength.
My personal choice would be the Potion & Shield, you still have 65 points left to either get yourself a nice weapon or spend it on the Book of Hoeth. True the Potion only gives you 1 turn of boosted strength, but for that turn you are ASF with almost certain rerolls, S7, 5+/4+ save + whatever other bonuses you bought yourself with the leftover points.

Still, a 3+ ward save unit is just yummy. I usually put a lore of high mage with the phoenix guard to give them the 3+ward, but I usually always move the phoenix guard to combat and the mage just blows or gets challenged or just gets targeted from attacks. Then I lose out on the direct damage spells or magic missile. I've actually only ever use lore of beasts or than high magic. Out of 100+ games. I hear shadows is good and so is life, but I never tried it.

Some cool pointy ears suggestions in here.
Maybe this game is where the Loremaster steps out of the shadow of your Archmage and displays his magical prowess to you! 😀
