Oh and Albert of Bordeaux became a more important character as he's a playable lord in game. He has Heroic Killing Blow, "Spirit of the Tempest" with gives him a charge bonus. And has his own wind spell, wrath of Manaan.

Kevin, why is the Fey Enchantress on a 50mm base? It seems to me that it mostly allows for more models to target her in cc to remove the blessing. Her cc defense is pretty low. It also seems to me to be wiser as her footprint isn't mismatched with the cavalry so she can blend in and fit inside a unit of knights instead of having to be placed to the outside of the unit.

A 50x50 fits in the footprint of the unit.

That's what I'm trying to say. Your earlier wording seemed to wonder why she's on a 50x50 instead of a 40x40.
This hadn't been brought up so I thought I would point it out.

Understand that my friend had her since she was allowed on a cav base.

I know a 40x40 would sit at the edge.

"Also, I'll need many high res photo of nicely painted Bretonnian units for the final army book. Please send me photos I can use, of your own painted Bretonnians, in a private message or post them right here in this thread."
Kevin,
I have some nicely painted Bretonnians if you still have a need. Just shoot me an email (kingmule1@gmail.com). Take care -- Brian

Eurgh, so many rules for the Boon. How about just lose it when: Refuse challenge or Fleeing.
All the others are either needless, or require constant surveillance of the no. of units left, haha.
Also, I cannot see rules for having 3 ranks in the Lance formation? Just "fight in extra ranks" (FiER) . Have you done away with the 3 ranks in favour of just normal ranks of 5? I feel this is removing a lot of their character from the battlefield if so. When in Lance formation 3 wide, FiER could be applied, and an additional instance of FiER could be applied when on the charge...
Also where is the rule that allows a Bretonnian to always use a Lance on the charge? Then use another weapon afterwards, or continue to use a Magical lance.... These rules added flavour, but weren't wildly filthy, lol.

As to the lance question, the "Prowess of the Joust" special rule states that they charge in with the lance and then follow up with sword and axe. Hope that helps. Jason

But why?

Why for which part? The lance formation was changed because it didn't really look right to some. Is whole purpose was more attacks, which the new rules address. The lance on the charge rule is pretty much the same. Remember that magic weapons don't have to be just a "sword" or "lance" you can change the type of weapon to what the model has.

To me the Lance formation is what makes Bretonnia different.
If playing in ranks of 5, I think I'd rather use my models as empire knights and have access to cannons and demis (which I'd use Stormcast Palladors as Hippogryph demis) ...
I don't see what could ever be confusing about using Fight in Extra Ranks in a 3 wide unit... Another needless change, and removal of character, in an otherwise Characterful army.

A unit of 15 knights gets more attacks when fighting in extra ranks than with the lance rule.
