I absolutely love the movement phase and the shenanigans and the mind games associated with it. Yes I plan to take 3 gyros in my 2000 point list to steam the enemy then die horribly as they sacrifice themselves to redirect and buy my guns more time. They're also great for limiting scout placement as well.
I'm planning to add a pair of bombers and a 4th when I eventually move up to 3000 points.

I LOVE it. I haven't run 4 Copters and 2 Bombers yet, but I SOOOO want to! If (and when) you do, take pics and make a batrep on it. I'd love to see it!

Would love to see a dwarf air cavalry list. Definitely played around with that idea when the 8th ed book dropped.

Especially against an army like Skaven! That would be hilarious!

Wow, thank holy RNGesus that Gjnoronh exists. You people are like headless chickens running around when AoS comes up. The dwarfs/Dwarf are repacks. As is everything else going to be that is out of stock at the moment. AoS has been planned on since 8th started. Anything that got updated like the dwarfs or wood elves aren't going anyway. Many 8th units were planned to carry over into AoS like the demigryph knights and gyrocopters. You can see even Blanche's early Stormcast concepts that came up during 8th's early days. (This is one of them) 3.bp.blogspot.com/-uGBtXurtSNo/VtVD4hM2ZrI/AAAAAAAAAPs/bZIRlgwEO8k/s1600/0gHRS3_FQAA.jpgSo two little last things to clear up here. 1. As to what Mottdon mistakenly said, there are no model scale differences from "older models" a regular dwarf is the same size as a Fyreslayer or a Overlord. Only size differences are due to new elites being bigger than regular soldiers of their race. Kinda a Warhammer hallmark there. (Though only technically true statement of scale creep is the excelsior warpriest being huge compared to regular humans but that's explained in lore of him being freakishly big as a 9 feet tall tribal chief.) 2. The new stuff has not in any way replaced the old stuff. Sylvaneth haven't made the Wanderers disintegrate nor has Fyreslayers and Overlords killed off the Dispossessed Dwarf in the lore. They are still in the lore and apart of AoS. As others have said there are other manufacturers of classic fantasy troops. GW knows this, that's why they don't want the fantasy franchise to be dependent on them. It won't stop them from making them though. They'll focus more on the new races but the old races are classic and still profitable as well as nostalgic. There's no reason for GW to get rid of them as even if their sales drop the new stuff can carry them and still make a profit. You people are just making your own boogeyman here.

Owning dwarfs as well as a Magmadroth and having an mate with around 30 fyreslayers I have to disagree that they are the same size as old dwarfs. They are imo clearly a bit bigger but given they are slayers I'm fine with it. They are close enough in size that it doesn't bother me but if you put a fyreslayer next to a thunderer or oop slayer as I have the fyreslayer is noticeably bigger. Scale wise I have no problemo seeing different generations/ of chaos warriors and knights all together so I am very lenient when it comes to scale. I mean we range in size hugely, why wouldn't our fantasy races? Also thanks for the Blanche Tzeentchien Stormcast art, never seen it before.

On the topic of scale creep from Warhammer Fantasy to Age of Sigmar, a glaring example below. Left: 5th Edition metal Dogs of War Leopard Company Right: Warhammer Quest/Age of Sigmar plastic Darkoath Chieftain. I like both minis. I use the Darkoath Chieftain as a solo wandering neutral/evil ally character in Warhammer Fantasy. Exalted Hero from Warriors of Chaos. He had yet to accomplish anything as you might imagine Thankfully I horded at least 1000 points of unpainted tomb kings when they were available so I'm set for the "OOP Times" if they ever come. Via eBay or other means the classic minis will remain available for some time. Speaking of which i horded some Empire a year or so ago so if an eefl member is interested I could post pictures of what I have. I know now I'll never get around to painting. It's mostly assembles though.

Ah, by classic I meant 6th to 8th, 5th's when Warhammer stuck to regular propotions from Perry brothers.
Your point still stands though, there has been scale creep over the editions.
Though I find a human next to a chaos marauder for size comparison a bit amusing. That's likely how the stacked up to eachother in the lore. Or at least the most powerful/mutated of the chaos warriors.

Dogs of war were IIRC small compare to 6th ed empire troops.
