Those look awesome. And I agree with his assessment. I originally hoped that 9th Age would be the version that everyone wanted. There simply was too much indecision and the rules (and names) completely changed the game I loved. All I wanted was a few tweaks to make things (like the Empire Helstorm Rocket Battery) more relevant, not a complete overhaul.

I agree with many things he said. It's okay for tournaments like ETC to impose a certain balance to their own participators but let all the rest of other players to enjoy the rather crazy nature of Warhammer Editions at their own choosing. Now every play in the 9th age, even in the most casual of environment, get the same boring 'cap' ETC treatment.
Also, the most critical thing is as he said, the total destruction of the Old World with many of the special characters that we know and are excessively fond of. That's an absolute turn-off to me. Not being able to play with Tyrion, Teclis, Valten is a big blow, but the whole Regiments of Renown things being thrown away is simply unacceptable. I paid an extraordinary amount of money and time to import and paint them only if they stand as the Republican Guards, Marksmen, Besiegers, Lost Legions with all the great fluffs of old and not as faceless random pikemen or crossbowmen. Yeah, I know they do write up some stuffs, but after reading all those I certainly don't want any of my models get close to that background. The legal thing is no excuse if the 9th age is always free like they say. So why changed the fluff?

They keep claiming copyright issues. And who knows, they may be right. But they lost a large chunk of their followers when they went NotHammer instead of NextHammer.

Yeah, when I first looked at that thing, I was wondering, "Why would they make something like that?!" Then I saw the picture and was totally floored! It looks so close to what's portrayed in the image!

Those were some pretty awesome Chaos models. Gave me some ideas of my own; I still need to do a Kholek model, and using the new archaon as a base for a chaos dragon is also a good idea.

Yes! Someone posted a picture of it and I went to Reapers site and took a look at it. I also like that model for a chaos dragon as well. Right now I'm debating which will be easier; putting a saddle and rider on that model (and possibly removing a head or two, as it screams more HYDRA! to me than DRAGON!) or converting the heads on that new Archaon model.
But at least I have options now.

Why not magnetize them? It'll give you plenty of options that way.
That's what I'm going to do with my DE Black Dragon and Dark Pegasus so that both the Dreadlord and Supreme Sorceress can have either mount option.

Those were some pretty awesome Chaos models. Gave me some ideas of my own; I still need to do a Kholek model, and using the new archaon as a base for a chaos dragon is also a good idea. I recently managed to nab a metal Dragon Ogre Shaggoth off ebay for less than 10 quid and I was considering doing something which could be used as Kholek but I was really struggling for inspiration. It doesn't seem that many people have done any really good versions of it from what I could see. The Shaggoth model also doesn't really look that great in terms of conversion potential. I could probably green stuff some armour plates and swap the axe head for a hammer, but I am not really sure it is worth the effort. I am not really sure how the new Dragon Ogre models compare size-wise to the Shaggoth so perhaps something could be done with them, or other companies do some alternatives which are quite nice. My fav is probably Kholukk from Mierce
The Emperor Chaos Dragon from FW is quite nice if you can get your hands on one. I personally use the old Baudros model
