Where would you find a banner for him? I have one with the back banner pole, but no banner. Sorry mate, I couldn't find the book I was looking for. It's not in the 6th Edition book. The original dwarf book is the one I was looking for that I think has the banner.

If I could just see a picture of it, I think I might be able to paint something close, at least. I'm not a fan of paper banners.

Nice! I think I can work with that! I'll probably change up the imagry on it because it's a little....uninspiring. But that gives me a good direction to head in!
Thanks!

sweet. and yes, I think 30 will be a much more useful unit size. I am not 100% with you on the champion's pistols. They look a bit like heroic-sized cream cones. maybe touch up with boltgun metal?

Ungrim's beard is very nice. I like the Ironbreakers a lot, the new sculpts are great and the Dwarf 8th book improved Ironbreakers a lot.
I do think that the pistols would look better with a dark shade to dull down that pink. My initial impression was that the Ironbreaker Champion had discovered two feared weapons of Slaanesh and planned on doing some "touching up" of his own.

Lol just had to explain to my wife why I cracked up. For some reason she finds my humour childish.

I finally managed to find some of my painting stuff after a superb (not!) bit of box labelling by myself (not helped by it sitting underneath a mountain of other boxes) and have managed to start and finish a paltry single character. Still it’s a start and coincidentally it’s the one of two models (the other being a grudge thrower) I needed to complete for the potential dwarf list I’m looking at entering for our club competition. The model, what is this model? Grimm Burloksson or Grimm son of Burlok. The son of the legendary dwarf engineer Burlok Damison (one of the named characters originally in the 4th edition dwarf army book). Burlok was known as a bit of a rogue who managed to blow up his arm in an engineering accident and replaced it with a steam powered prosthetic. After that he conformed with the guild guidelines but his son is known to have followed in his early footsteps and skirts a dangerous line with the guild. Although he still has both arms, he’s augmented one of them with a similar device as his father giving him boosted strength and is known to make dwarf artillery and gunnery even better than it is renowned to be. He is also one of the few instances I’m aware of, where a family connection continues in character progression between editions. I’ve owned the model for an age but never fancied painting it before. The comp’ gave me the push to do so and I kept fairly true to the ‘official’ GW picture colour. The model was actually easy to paint, surprisingly so and is probably one of my favourites of the 8th edition dwarf character releases.

I love it! Grimm is probably one of my favorites too! I love that he totes a shotgun. The Cog Axe sounds great on paper, but I've never had an occasion to use it. Actually, I don't even remember if I ever got him into CC before?!? I suppose it's a double edged sword. He's a great ranged support character, so you want him with those units pouring it on, but he has a great CC weapon that could be awesome in a fight! At any rate, I really like all the options he gives you!

I completely agree but I also realised that he has two pistols so if he uses those in combat, he gets an additional attack and all at S6, so i’d probably use those over the axe (I’m pretty sure the axe isn’t a magic weapon so it’s viable to do this).

I've just checked the army book - his Cog Axe is a magic weapon, so unfortunately you can't opt for the pistols in combat.
