My army is here
He had a Grandmaster with priest and 8 inner circle knights with standard
A unit of 5 knights with standard
2 x 5 outriders
Halberdier horde with standard, lvl 4 Shadow wizard, BSB, priest and 2 archer attachments
A helblaster V gun
Steamtank
Great cannon
Luminark
Damn, that's close
9 inch from the center is not a lot.
I had 3 razorgor, 3 harpy units, 2 units of ungor raiders, 4 chariots. I owned the deployment phase.
I could decide whether to put my general versus his general or not. Decided to be agressive for once since last time I was in defensive mode and that does not work for Beastmen.
I got to go first.
One scouting harpy unit blocked his outriders on the left.
The outriders on the right were threatened by harpies, a chariot and a Razorgor. I charged with the harpies first, he saved his shooting for the non-skirmishers. Who do not charge of course.
His stank on the left charges my ungor raiders and kills them.
His cannon shoots into the gors, killing 4.
Damn that's gotta hurt
My harpies railroad his steamtank. They get fried. A chariot takes their place and the steamtank does nothing again.
The outriders on the right keep fighting the harpies and get charged by one of my chariots. They die and I overrun in his knight unit. They die too and his fortitude is one down.
Two chariots charge into the Helblaster V gun. It dies.
He keeps waiting for my ambushers to arrive. I don't have any :-)
Chalice blocks his shooting.
Damn that was fast
Now is the moment where the Gor dung hits the fan.
My gors, 2 chariots and a razorgor are threatening the halberdier horde. He decides to reform to face the chariots, OFFERING HIS FLANK TO THE GORS.
My Bestigors, harpies and razorgor are threatening his Grandmaster & ICK unit. He charges the razorgor so that he can reform and fight my Bestigors in the next round. I decide to flee however, which results in a failed charge, which results in him OFFERING HIS FLANK TO THE BESTIGORS
Miasma on his Grandmaster unit (-3 WS), Wyssan's on the Bestigors.
What a day to be a Beastman! Surely the dark Gods have decided that the day of Man is gone. Dung and blood on their flags!
Halberdiers: 2 chariots hit (10 S5 hits). My gors attack (AHW, Beastlord, Wargor). He is disrupted. I KILL 22 halberdiers. He runs and is killed. Round 3 and I won the game. Let's play the other cc for fun
Bestigors with Bray boy charge and hit the flank, killing 4 and he's disrupted. He runs and is killed. He has 0 standards in his army and I killed about 1200 points in one round
Conclusion
My opponent made some silly mistakes but was completely unprepared for that many units. I had a great set-up (this is usually where I screw up) and all my tricks worked. Harpies and chariots are a fabulous combination for adding pressure. He was scared of the pumbas. So much even that it costed him his general.
Glorious victory for the Beasts of Chaos.
Painful defeat for the Empire.
But the silly Men do not know that their moment has passed. They vowed to return and take back the conquered land. We will feast on their hearts again in the near future!
