Are you thinking a Ford in the river made of skulls? Don't think I will add more skulls now.

Think I finally managed to seal the edges of this piece. Let's hope it's not all drained tomorrow.

Speed clamps are great! I use them all the time. I have a ton of various sizes too.

How did you seal the edges? I hope it works out!! I hot glue gun the white plasticard. But this piece kept leaking anyway. So now I added some clamps too 😊

So would you recommend an earth coloured base to the river. ie the river bed?
Then you mixed the pigment into your resin? What sort of ratios did you use? Was it inks you coloured it with?w

So would you recommend an earth coloured base to the river. ie the river bed? Then you mixed the pigment into your resin? What sort of ratios did you use? Was it inks you coloured it with?w So regarding river ground color, I think it depends on how deep you cast your river and how much color you put in the river. For me, I wanted more earthy and not so much sand and I am happy with the outcome. If you do thinner layers it might be better going blueish ground and clear coat above but this is speculating as I have not tried. Regarding color, I ended up going with normal acrylics dark blue and dark green. Tried ink in the first that I ended up doing again with the skulls and wasn't happy. If you go with inks I think you need a lot to make an impact. I did about a 50/50 mix. Be careful with the green. It goes fast from clear too muddy. Little bit less green. Little bit more green.

Another question: The water effect for the ripples on top, did you add any pigment to it or did you just allow it to dry clear? (apologies if this is earlier in the thread I can't be bothered trekking back through it all )

(apologies if this is earlier in the thread I can't be bothered trekking back through it all ) I use it clear and apply with a big flat ice lolly. Tried dry brushing whit at first but don't like it.
