I have to admit, if I ever WERE enticed by the forces of Chaos, this model would be why. Still not jumping down that Hell pit, but cool model nonetheless.

Would make a cool exalted Greater Daemon (but so will the actual AoS Greater Daemons, haha).
Other than that, not much use on 8th? Besides conversion parts, ofc

New Belakor is epic! That sword and those wings.
My use of the old model unconverted as 'Diablo' the Daemon Prince of Tzeentch fits perfectly now he no longer looks like 'Belakor'.
Well done GW. Great update of a brilliant model. They nailed it imo.
Just need to see him posed with sword up like the original now.

Of course you can - however the size of him isn't really in proportion lol.
ShadowLord? More like ShadowCaster, amirite guys?

I like the model, it is dragon size though.

It could maybe fit on a 50mm base? Without the scenic AoS basing...

It could maybe fit on a 50mm base? Without the scenic AoS basing... Wow, I knew it was big, but seeing it next to Archaon puts it in a whole new perspective. I wonder how it looks next to the original?

Ok, I love Be'Lakor, but this model is way too large.

It's kind of hard to judge WFB monster sizes, as there was such a variety of them even within the years of 8th. The model is the same size as the other new plastic greater daemons, which seems correct given Be'lakor's status, and the Bloodthirster didn't seem too big when it came out at the end of 8th. The model is big for Be'kakor's WFB rules, but his WFB rules while generally good do feel lacking for a character of his stature - Toughness 5 / Wounds 4 doesn't reflect Be'lakor's power. He should be on a par with the named greater daemons, so around 6 / Wounds 5-6.
I would have liked to see more properly large monsters in 8th, with rules to reflect - things with Toughness/Wounds in the 7-10 range. Those shouldn't just have been the preserve of the rare Storm of Magic games.
But yeah, fitting him on a base... 100x60 maybe? More likely you'll need a 150x100 base turned sideways and there may still be an overhang.

It could maybe fit on a 50mm base? Without the scenic AoS basing... Where is this comparison from? In the picture I saw he looked smaller than the new Blood Thirster and Lord of Change so seeing him so big compared with the oversized Archaon is odd? I reckon only 1 foot would work on a 50 x 50 base. Due to the posing maybe a chariot or treeman base would work? With the wings I reckon sideways on a Soul Grinder base would probably work and look best. That would also put him in line with lore heavy hitters such as Nagash and the Glottkin.

Yeah, I think this photo has been manipulated. The new Be'Lakor is large but not that large.

I'd say Be'Lakor's rules are really good. True the only downside is 4 Wounds, he'd be better with 5. But all Daemon Princes are 4 Wounds.

I do think it looks like he is of the super Size like a dragon/archon.

Well, he certainly IS big! I think from the Archaon comparison pic, the infantry model scale is off. Looks too tiny. That makes the others seem so much bigger.
