This better than 90% of the releases for AOS I'm going to assume that the other 10% are AoS releases that can be used perfectly in WFB 8th edition!

And...barely a mention. It's still the normal 40k/AoS buzz. *sigh* I'm sure there will be more as we get closer to the release day. Assuming that it happens of course. 3 years...time to get my Dark Elf and Dwarf armies painted! Whatever happened to the guy with the tons of Empire models? Don't tell me he got rid of them?!? That’s what I was wondering

That’s what I was wondering Not sure which chap you are talking about, but there is SteveB Who has an insanely large (and amazingly painted) Empire collection and some of the best city terrain I've seen. Sadly Steve passed away last year, but left his whole collection to his friend who has been showcasing it regularly. I didn't know Steve, but I'm glad his collection lives on as its wonderful. He has a dedicated facebook group and showcase videos on youtube. www.facebook.com/worldofsteveb/Sorry if this isn't who you were talking about, but its always nice to share this group as its filled to the brim with good inspiration and reference photos!

It was a specific opponent that he had been playing.
I’ve seen the Steve B collection in the vid, it’s fantastic.

I thought I’d quit rather than worry about that sort of thing. My other bugbear was he was also selling quite a few of the extra models, which is fine and his prerogative but the prices he was selling them for, were definitely on the high side and it felt he was using the Steve B group to promote sales which detracted from Steve’s models. This was just how it came across to me I might be on my own there.

I had no idea, but then I've had very little interaction with the guy. I mostly just watched the videos he put up. The selling of models didn't really bother me, he put up a shot of the amount that he had to sort through and just assumed he was selling the left overs. I was unaware that he was less than gracious with his comments though.

You know, that Ogre Tyrant they just released will fit in perfectly with the Old World aesthetic. I wonder if we will start seeing more and more new models being capable of fitting in both games from now on, rather than just the new AoS only factions. That'd make sense to me. By the time this official Old World edition is released, they could've built up enough models to flesh out most armies and with the addition of a major starter set release, things would be supported to full steam.
What do you guys think? Should we all rush out and purchase this Tyrant model to show our support for the Old World?

Personally I like being able to have different minis for the same unit type. Keep a things interesting
