Some of you may remember this old metal miniature. It is a very old Tyranid sculpt (yes it came on the square base back then). This guy has been a staple of our 8th Edition battles for a couple of years with his goofy crab claws so I thought i'd share his 8th Edition rules. Like all the units I post on this forum this intended to be a fun and not an ultra-competitive choice Unit type - Monster Allegience - Neutral Faction - Alien Points cost - 175 point pick As always any feedback welcome.

I always kinda liked that model but never considered it in WFB. Interesting take.

Never heard of a Carnifex, but I indeed loved the Screamer Killer...I have one somewhere...
Cool idea!

It would be kinda neat to write a whole Tyranid army list for WFB 8th edition...

It would be kinda neat to write a whole Tyranid army list for WFB 8th edition... Indeed it would Thanks for the feedback guys. We have pointed quite a few Nids for 8th which ill slowly post here but there are many Nids/variants still with no 8th edition rules. Nids fit better into Fantasy than most 40k races imo.

There are few things that look tougher and scarier than the original Screamer Killer.

It would be kinda neat to write a whole Tyranid army list for WFB 8th edition... I've been working on just such a set of rules as part of one of my many projects, entitled 'Warhammer: Swarms of the Hive Mind' as 'Tyranids' was a name given to them in the 40K universe specifically (after the planet of Tyran, where Hive Fleet Behemoth, the first Tyranid Hive Fleet, was first encountered). Certainly of all the 40K factions, apart from Daemons of Chaos (who exist in both universes already) the Tyranids are the only one that would make sense to appear in Fantasy as well because they have already travelled through loads of galaxies, and it would be only a matter of time before they discovered the one the Warhammer world is in...

That's awesome. I've played with most of the 'big fellas' the Nids have with my Warhammer rules in Fantasy so would love to see what you come up with/share some ideas. I've gone off Nids a bit at the moment but there was a period after I painted my Heirodule when I insisted on playing them at around 2k points vs various other Warhammer armies to test my rules.
