For any of you new young whipper snappers... You may never have to deal with the horror that is ALL METAL MONSTROUS INFANTRY. The whole point of this picture is to show that I am keeping the factories that produce green stuff in business.

Nice conversion, the skyfires look great. I like the cloud basing, that's something I've never seen before.

Thanks all. I posted those 3 pics yesterday whilst mobile. Looking at the pics today on desktop, they kinda look like poop.
I will make an effort to get better pictures this weekend.

Haha dem eyes man dem eyes! yes, that demon prince is going to be great! not convinced by the cloud basing at the moment. if these guys soar above the clouds they are a quite a bit removed from the action, aren't they? the models themselves are awesome.

So I saw this Kickstarter today and I am very tempted to drop $100.
So much thematically right here. I want. Murgilly Bergilly.
But don't they know I already have dozens of unpainted minis? And dozens of barely base-coated minis?

ha only dozens?
I just bought an enormous lot of skaven. My unpainted queue is now to the tune of around 500 models.
I'm buying a new airbrush though and that should help get the rats batch painted quickly. (base coat brown, airbrush a skin tone, then airbrush weapons and armor, then dip the model and done)

Nice minotaurs btw! I don't have the old metal minotaurs just the old and new metal doombulls.
My minos are the new plastics.

Never got the details or blends mastered, but... for me... It remains a phenomenal way to make a bunch of minis 1 solid color. For rats, I bet a medium brown airbrush (2-3 thin layers) followed by a darker brown wash would save you HOURS of bristle brush time.

Never used an airbrush, what do you need and how much does it roughly cost? I actually really like metal monstrous infantry, feels like you are holding something substantial

Never used an airbrush, what do you need and how much does it roughly cost? I started with a kit/set off Amazon for about $30. Had the sprayer, 3 nozzles, the hose, etc. In addition to the kit, you'll need a properly sized air compressor. Ideally, a smaller electric unit for use indoors. The air compressor might be $40 to $50, and can go up from there. I had one, Harbor Freight sells them inexpensively. If you try a few sprays and toss some paint on a few minis and you like the feel of air brushing, you can easily spend $200 to $300 on medium-quality tools/brushes. I think they keep going up in price to $400's and $500's.

I actually really like metal monstrous infantry, feels like you are holding something substantial I'd recommend a dual-action airbrush; this allows you to control both airflow and paint with the trigger. A single action is fine if all you want to do is basecoat, but if you want to further explore/experiment then a dual-action is the way to go. Then there's siphon feed and gravity feed. I have a siphon feed and it's nice if you're doing large amounts or want to quickly change colors (buy multiple pots then all you have to do to change colors is clean out the airbrush, and change pots). But I want a gravity feed as it allows you to do small amounts of paint (a drop at a time) then switch colors w/o a lot of cleanup. Also a gravity feed lets you get closer to the model and is easier to work with. then you'll want a small single piston air compressor for running indoors. I would NOT recommend using canned air, it can be inconsistent, and it gets expensive over time. plus with a decent compressor you can modulate the air pressure coming out to help with your painting. I use iwata for everything, I like them they're a decent middle of the road/higher end product, but there's a lot of other brands out there that are good as well. badger and paasche come immediately to mind.

This is a Bones Miniature. I think he's a "Minotaur Demon Lord". He's big. I will be running him as a Ghorgon. He looks and feels like my Minotaur unit... Except twice as high. Not pictured: his wicked cool death glaive i.e. naginta. He is a "Red Oni".

Two POV Pictures below. This will be a Chariot. Specifically, a Wargor BSB on Razorgor Chariot. Since that miniature doesn't quite exist... I got creative. GW Orc chariot bits modeled into the shell of a Bones Turtle Dragon, all on a 50x100 base.
