Is that one of those goofy rat ogres in bone form? Yeah that's what it looks like to me too. It might not be from Hell Pit but it's certainly an abomination!

They’ve put up the Xmas army boxed sets on community. www.warhammer-community.com/2019/10/30/gifts-for-good-grotsgw-homepage-post-1/Plenty of 40k but there are 2 Warhammer ones that might be of interest. Skaven - 20 clanrats, 20 pestilence rats, a screaming bell/plague kit, Rat daemon, plague catapult kit, grey seer and some sort of clan pestilence hero (my memory of skaven stuff is poor and on the train so cba to look it up). Night Goblins - 5 fanatics, 10 squigs hoppers, mangler squig, 3 stone trolls and the moon faced goblin (loon?) boss. Based on the single chaos army set still for sale on the UK site from last year, they’ll probably be around £100.

Box pictures for ease of reference: The Skaven one would be tempting if it didn't still have butt-ugly Plague Monks in it.

Thanks sedge. My brain was dribbling out my ears with the skaven names.

Exciting new stuff - and actually exciting! www.warhammer-community.com/2019/11/02/new-reveals-chaos-sororitas-tanks-and-moregw-homepage-post-1/"Ogroid Myrmidon" - related to the Ogroid Thaumaturge (from Silver Tower) but bigger and fighty. For Warcry: Mindstealer Sphiranx: Fomoroid Crusher (already seen) is now coming out: New Chaos Warriors!!!!! New Chaos Knights!!! New Chaos Lord on daemonic mount!!! (Okay, apparently its more monster sized, so possibly not) The three new chaos units are coming in a new Start Collecting box. Yes please!

I'm loving these new Warriors with the one exception being that their shields look like they are being held upside down. I really dig that they took some inspiration from old models for them, and that champion is good enough to work as a chaos lord right out of the box. Hopefully they'll include either halberds or GWs as alternative weapons for them. The new knights are also stellar and that cat things is simply gorgeous. While I like the look of the Chaos Lord his mount, while a perfectly good example of a Barded Daemonic Mount, seems like it would fit better within a Lizardmen army. That being said, it would make for an excellent base for anyone who wants to make themselves a Toad Dragon.
All in all I don't remember when I was last this excited about a coming GW release.

It´s not very often I get excited about any new releases from Games Workshop, but these warriors look perfect imo, fit right in with the old ones. The Knights are an improvement, but will probably be too big to fit with my 6th edition metals so those are a maybe. Not sure what I would use the lord as, but it does look good when the helmet is on.

Really good-looking stuff. The warriors are awesome! unless they are ~ogre-sized. one never knows with GW. Looking forward to some scale shots.

Being that they're on 32s, they're probably the same size as Blood Warriors.

Well, I can't say I'm excited about this release because...Warriors of Chaos. Meh.
BUT...I think that first model would make an GREAT Doombull swap! Quite easily too if you have a face to swap out. (Different weapon, etc.)
The Fomoroid Crusher would make an excellent Cygor or Cyclops Giant for Beastmen or other armies as well.
The mounted knights...they look great, but *sigh* every time a "Favorite Son" army of GW's comes out with dynamic knights with horses that look this good, I just ask myself, "Why not Empire or Bretonnia?!?" This is a perfect example of what they COULD'VE been doing all along. Just makes me sad.
I imagine the regular Warriors will be comparable to Sigmarines, size wise. Pretty much the mirror image. Kinda like the "Upside Down version of the same character.
And I agree that the demonic mount looks like it belongs in a Lizardmen army. Like the runt of a Bastiladon litter.

I will definitively by that chaos set! Not sure on how to fit the deamonic stead on a square base though! Yeah, fitting that lizzy on its proper base is going to be tough. Then again, you could give it a chariot base and use it as a gorebeast chariot or any of the monsters.

Looking at the scale pic (with the Varanguard in) the Chaos Warriors should be at most only a little larger than the old models. I think they'd probably go on 25mm squares, with some careful placement and still rank up. The Varanguard I've seen in person before (but don't own - yet) and make great characters on daemonic mounts. The new Lord on reptilian monster is probably going to be fully-fledged monster size then, only fitting on a chariot base. What it really needs is for KevinC to write it some rules!
