I mean it's pure speculation but if they're serious about bringing back the Old World then some of the special characters like Teclis who are so ingrained in the lore and can be worked into AoS seems sensible. In Teclis' case it gives them a way to feed in the likes of Tyrion etc.

I don't think the Teclis we see for AoS will be very Old World friendly. It is god Teclis

True but down the bottom it "teases" under the WIP bit the more "classic" Teclis weapons so here's to hoping!

I thought it would be the AoS version of Teclis UNTIL I saw that last "teaser" pic of his staff and sword. Straight outta TOW. Seems kinda funny to me that he'd still be rockin' his staff of another god if he's a god himself. But maybe he's just sentimental like that.

If this becomes a trend of bringing back old characters first before units, shall we start a sweepstake?

It's already a trend?
Archaon, Morathi, Alarielle, Gotrek...

Wouldn't it be fitting if Manfred made it through somehow? He was so integral throughout the End Times books. It'd be funny if he survived.

I vote for Croop and the DoW special characters. They were such a part of the lore and I don't think they were really mentioned in the End Times? So possibly lore wise they survived.
In terms of Mannfred making a comeback, I think any of them will make a comeback if GW can guarantee they'll make a coin out of it somehow 😉

Semi-confirmed rumors/leaks have two things coming up for AoS:
"Sons of Behemat" - this is probably where the giant gutplate/shield we saw game from. In the lore Behemat is a huge stone titan and sire of the Aleguzzler Gargants (giants). So I think this is an army of giants or at least an army that will have some new giants and well, sign me up, I could always use more monsters*
*I certainly don't need more monsters
Seraphon are also getting some releases as well but it may just be rules update with no new models. However I'd love to see a plastic Slann kit and a new start collecting

Oh also we're seeing the new high elves tonight, article should go up midnight EST.
I've been thinking about them and I think they may end up fitting into WFB HE stuff pretty well. GW got rid of some of the remaining HE line last year but kept stuff like Phoenix Guard and added them to one of the recent battletomes (Cities of Sigmar), based on that I expect them to both stick around for a while, and be part of/fit into the new line. Could be wrong but I'm hoping that outside of one god-level elf, and maybe a few more fantastical models that things will fit into the existing range well.

I can’t say I’m unhappy with the new spearman and silverhelms. Both kits look great. Trying to justify whether I could get them considering I already have a bucketload of both and rarely use them. The Teclis kit and monster are pretty cool with the exception of the weird head on the monster. It just looks like it should be on a Tomb king. I don’t think it works at all. The Eltharion model likewise looks excellent but it’s missing the body. I just don’t like that aesthetic. Still it’s good to see ‘normal’ and compatable AOS figures!
