It looks mostly good except the Teclis monster. Not really sure that was needed but it seems all the characters have to be stood on monsters now.
Those special characters don't work for the Old World

The more I see the new horse and spear, the more I’m liking them. I have always loved the hopilite look and Greek mythology though.

I can’t say I’m unhappy with the new spearman and silverhelms. Both kits look great. Trying to justify whether I could get them considering I already have a bucketload of both and rarely use them. The Teclis kit and monster are pretty cool with the exception of the weird head on the monster. It just looks like it should be on a Tomb king. I don’t think it works at all. The Eltharion model likewise looks excellent but it’s missing the body. I just don’t like that aesthetic. Still it’s good to see ‘normal’ and compatable AOS figures! my big question is if we see new archers I'm probably going to end up mixing old and new models when I get around to working on my HE, I think that actually fits the fluff fairly well as you can say they're from different provinces

I think the spearmen/hoplites look great as do the horses. I'm curious how they'd rank up.

The new Nurgle models look really promising to me. The guy on the left looks more "Fallen Knight" than rotting mess which I definitely love, and would make for an excellent character in my army. While the guy on the right is more along the line of the generic Nurgle fatguy his pose is quite meancing in a beastial sense which is never bad as Chaos goes. At worst it'd make for a good Spawn base. Most of all I'm really happy that Nurgle finally received its swamp witch model. It's frankly a wonder that it took them this long to make one. The non-nurgling Nurgle Familiar is also a pleasant addition. In other words: I'm definitely going to buy them.

The spearmen and silverhelms are not too far out there in AoS weirdness. Looks great. And while it's hard to tell from the pics, maybe they are not oversized compared to other HE stuff? Poor Eltharion and Teclis though got AoSified hard. That's fine. There are plenty of HE character models.

I certainly love the new Hysh Elves with the Corinthian Helmets - while I have some Spearmen and Silver Helms already, both kits don’t look too out of place.

It seems as though they made a nice one off model, and picked a name out of the old books. Eltharion is basically the only hero of old with a named mount (from 8th).
And he's a ghost in armour now.
But teclis gets a trapise pose and an emotionless sphinx as a "mount". Like Alarielle got a bug "mount".
What's with that?
I assume Tyrion will be stood next to/hovering near a fat horse, for his model.
The silver helms are really nice, ignoring the horses learning how to run.
The soears are nice, would like to know if they fit on 20mm Squares.

The Spearmen and Silver Helms look good. I'm just not sure I want to spend $300 for a fashion upgrade. Spartan or not.
Teclis, honestly I expected something like his cheerleader pose and super-sized hat. The beast could easily be fine with a simple head swap though.
Eltharion, this one just makes me really sad. I LOVED that guy! And even though we got him....we also didn't. He ain't there! Armor looks cool, just needs my boy in there!
I hope the rest get better.

The spear elves imo look superb. Really digging their style.
Eltharion looks more eldar than elf to me. Poor guy can't catch a break. Went from blind to straight up invisible.

Now that I look at it more, it MIGHT be possible to do some serious conversion work and combine the two for our current 8th edition versions of them.
The biceps and thighs of the Eltharion model could be filled in with green stuff easily enough. The Teclis model might look cool on a clear flying rod and set to a single 20x20 base. With a bit of cutting and filling, the Eltharion could be made to ride the "Teclis mount" and the head could be swapped out with the Empire Griffon head to make a good version of Storming (especially since we never got a good updated version of that pair for 8th).
I might try this when they come out. More pics will tell me more though.
