I bought a limited edition Dark Elf BsB. JUST about rounds out my Dark Elf collection, sans Morathi and Malekith (oof, they're expensive)

I picked up some hobby supplies but to get the free postage I felt ‘obliged’ to pick up another box of Gors as they had just come back in stock.

My brother hit a jackpot - a house clearance with a guy who once worked in the mail order part of Games workshop. He's practically picked up a shop's worth of miniatures from the 80s to later 90s. For some reason the dude had about 20 chaos bloodbowl cheerleaders, the same bloody model, haha. Here's a few pictures. I got to keep the norse and Chaos stuff. ... Christ. So many models and games. Tons of great classic models there. I'm jealous of the chaos dwarf stuff. That is one of the metal ranges I really wish I had collected back in the day. |

Definitely time for a confessional...Haven't painted anything for WFB in a couple of months as I've been deep into a huge middle earth project. But I also accepted a new job, which was a huge promotion and due to an unforeseen complication, I ended up with almost a month off paid between jobs and then another weeks holiday! So I had loads of free time to chase down some deals on the 2nd hand pages! The poor postman is probably sick of all the packages that have arrived! -3 plague toads (This leaves me missing about 9 minis left to find to 'complete' my nurgle force!) -Forgeworld Night goblin command unit (This was not cheap but I'd been kicking myself for not getting it when it was available)
-10 Teutogen Guard inc command. (I dread to think what I'll need to spend to max this unit out at a later date!  ) -Vampire Counts Army book (Finally! And not too bad a price!)
-Battle Magic card set (The basic set, I was missing mine)
-Dogs of war Birdmen of Catrazza box (I overpaid for sure, but I missed the last two that went up for sale!)
-Ogre hunter (Metal)
-Bunch of random Empire heroes. (Cheap enough as they all need some TLC)
-High Elf Sky cutter (Don't ask how much I paid for this, it was obscene! Its a gift for the misses though, so I don't begrudge it at all.)
-Unit of Seaguard -Steam Tank (Metal)
-Cheap Grudge Thrower (metal- Dirt cheap as its missing parts but I brought an almost complete one last year, so between them I can make two with some copied parts)
-Some random Blisters including Balthasar Gelt, Stone Troll, C29 hippogriff
-A set of the Walls and Fences set (I need one to be able to complete the mansion set I brought when it was out. I pinched the fences for some other random painting session!) Other than the skycutter, I expect that nothing I've been buying is going to see a re-release when the old world drops (The grudge thrower maybe, but it will come back in finecast and I'd rather get the metal ones now) so I'd not kick myself for over paying for any plastic sets now! The skycutter has been so hard to source, so I'm ok with over paying for that one. The metal steam tank is almost identical to the plastic one still available, which I also picked up just in case they remove it when the AoS range gets it overhaul in a month or so. But I wanted a couple of different ones to have some variety. I also suspect we will see the walls and fences set return- but I got this one and overpaid, I feel its my karma for taking them out the set I had brought to build the Stage Coach Inn specifically!  I was doing well with the painted > buying ratio this year until I had this time off!  |
