This month I bought four boxes of Start Collecting Seraphon to go with the other box I have and the twenty Saurus Warriors I have to make eighty of the scaly buggers, forty Knights, two Carnosaurs (one as Kroq-Gar) about seven swarms, Scar Vet and a Old Blood on foot and a Skink Priest on foot using Oracle parts, oh and a Old Blood/Scar Vet on Cold One. Also bought a hundred 25x25 bases, fifty 25x50, two 50x100, ten 40x40 and ten 20x20 bases.
Whew, it does feel good to confess!

Recently… I bought a Verminlord NIB, 3 Ogres from Avatars of War and I’m getting the Underworld Buccaneer Ogre ordered as well…. I don’t have a Verminlord yet and I wanted 4 more unique Ogres for a second group of 4 Maneaters

A bit late to the conversation, but I'm very much a 1:1 kind of guy when it comes to the abstraction. I like to think of Warhammer as a "small army skirmish" kind of game, with the scouting forces engaging each other in your typical confrontation.
For the larger "army" battles, I've played 10k+ points before (fun), but I've recently decided that I much prefer Warmaster for that kind of thing. For a suitably grand clash of armies, you really need a smaller scale, as 28mm just takes up too much real estate.
As for base sizes and ToW, I don't intend to rebase anything, as I'm going to be keeping my options open, which means potentially games of 6th and 8th edition. So I'll just find adapters for the base sizes, or appropriate movement trays.

LOL I do!
damn it I should pay closer attention to where I am.
EDIT: well while I'm here - I bought a Screaming Bell this month, it's something that I've been wanting to add to my Skaven for a while. I traded an old one away a long time ago as I got it already assembled and I couldn't paint it in stages like I prefer to. So now I have one NiB that I can lavish lots of attention on!

He picked this lot up from someone in Brighton. There are so many other things, lots of 40k stuff, a lot of second edition plus models, and rogue trader orks. Lovely find. Brings back some memories. He sells a lot on and buys in bulk so he is always out looking for stuff (his only job at the moment since leaving full time teaching. He sells a lot on but also keeps a lot too, passing me on a load of things. He's a good lad.

My autobiography will be called 'I won't buy any more miniatures until I've gotten a couple more units painted...and other fairy tales. By Mallo". In my defence I did finish two units for my middle earth project in the last month, and gotten 3/4 of my Goblin King chariot painted so it balances out!

After being relatively restrained in recent times, I've gone on an old White Dwarf magazine buying spree. I've had almost all of them in pdf form for years, but never read them that way - I much prefer paper. I've been picking up batches on ebay, mainly around the 90s and early 00s.
I'm also trying to get as many of my armies as possible into proper storage cases (KR Multicase ones), rather than having them spread around my desk, shelves and cupboards. I also want to free up space in my display cabinet for the biggest models that can't go into cases.
Finally, Dark Sphere just hooked me in with a sale, so I picked up the new Beastlord, 10 Chaos Chosen and the special "Anasta Malkorian" vampire character from a while back that they still had in stock.

My group wants to play 30k, and I'm demoing Middle Earth at an upcoming local event, so I've switched gears for the time being.
As far as what I've bought - the Liber Imperium, which contains the rules for my Golden Boys (Custodes), and a TON of the new Osgiliath ruins so I can cover a table convincingly.

I’ve also been pretty good for a while but slightly backtracked and bought 2’additional warhounds from the hexbane kit and the Witch Hunter from the Cursed City, to finish off my Mordheim warband. I also picked up the space marine half of the Leviathan box from a club mate.
