In a surprising and pleasing turn of events, not only did Gorthor and Ghorros turn up really quickly but they were both metal (except the boar’s bodies) and Ghorros came with both a square cav’ and oval base (unfortunately Gorthor only came with an oval). Awesome!!! The herd grows! Bashor the Bloody may be looking at a demotion with Gorthor the Beastlord entering the fold! Gorthor the Reincarnated! |

I went to the new Dark Sphere megastore in west London, "to see what it was like" (don't think my wife bought that for a second). I was restrained, picking up an Avatars of War Dwarf Engineer that they no longer sell, plus a cart. That might seem random, but I've had a couple of zombie horses sitting around since Salute in April and I think I now know what I'm going to do with one of them - a second corpse cart.  |

It's massive - they could host dozens and dozens of games at once. It's well stocked too, though the place is still getting set up. I think they've set up some old stuff that they've found in boxes which they didn't have space to sell in the Vauxhall store - various WFB red boxes (nothing you can't still get though, but it's nice to have square bases included) plus things like the AoW models. It's on the Central line so worth a visit if you're in central London already, but probably not worth a trek just to see it.

The wife decided this week that she's going to steal my Wood Elves and start playing, so I went and bought her a Spellweaver and the Sisters of Twilight as additional holiday gifts. Also bidding on some Wardancers.
In retribution, I picked up an older metal Bretonnian Paladin on Pegasus for myself.

Checked my shelves, realized I didn't have an 8th Ed Wood Elves book, recalled one of the local stores(that just so happens to do 10% off GW) had a copy, so nipped over an grabbed it.
Store owner saw the book and mentioned that there's a small EEFL group at the store I didn't know about. Ultra score!

I picked up two Brettonian Pegasus Riders for a great deal! I also just grabbed the very rare Empire Blazing Sun conversion pack for a ridiculous price.... so sad on my part.....

Went for our monthly 8th Edition get together here in Minnesota yesterday. Hit the bargain table at the shop and treated myself to a 50% Gyrocopter/Bomber and a box of Phoenix Guard. And am eagerly awaiting those new plastic Flesh Hounds of Khorne and the new Fiends of Slaanesh for my Daemons.
