FYI, I was highly skeptical of ST: Discovery. But after the first 3-4 episodes, I fell in love with it. Both season 1 and 2 are excellent. The writing is so good and very respectful to the Star Trek lore (no contradictions, the story telling all works out).

I agree with discovery. I did think the first episode was a bit off but it quickly found its pace.

I’m guessing that is the family vineyard that his brother ran when Picard was still in the Enterprise.

I’m guessing that is the family vineyard that his brother ran when Picard was still in the Enterprise. ---------Yes, but they all burned to death in a fire, as details in Star Trek: Generations.

I also couldn’t watch that link, so guessing it’s the teaser trailer: youtu.be/YhBBXHwEsIo. To say I’m a little excited is an understatement. Data and Seven of Nine popping up is an unfair tease!

It looks totally amazing! I'll have to start binging my past Star Treks now.

I finally finished the second season of Discovery and it was almost as good as the first. The second to last episode was a little ‘mushy’ for my liking but I liked how it linked in with the original Kirk stories and I’m now even more looking forward to the third season and the new Picard!

I’m up to episode 7 of Picard and although it’s conpletely different to discovery, it is equally as good, possibly better if only for the nostalgic side as it keeps cameoing classic characters. Definitely worth a watch if you love Star Trek. My only issue is they’re releasing an episode every Friday so you can’t binge watch the series!
