So I succumbed and got Settra off of ebay and wanted to confirm: Settra is fielded on his Chariots of the Gods. Unlike other chariots, 4 horses pull it as opposed to 2. Here's where I get confused:
- As I'll assume the base sizes are different because of the horses, he can only join a chariot unit on the size, right? And what is the size of his base?
Lastly, please all send your thoughts over to KevinC and his Grom The Paunch goblin army as they'll one day soon face The Imperishable, and likely perish themselves.

livewaaaaagh , congratulations on acquiring Settra! Settra may join a unit of Skeleton Chariot unit as normal because he has the 'footprint' of two chariots. Standard chariots are 50x100 mm, Settra's chariot is 100x100 mm (so he takes up two spots in the unit).

Yeah, I put this model together, but I made a custom base for it so that it'd match up square with the other chariots he'll inevitably be running with.
I've set them up together, and they do indeed look very sweet! I'll post some pics once I finish all of them!

mottdon and everyone else too: Settra is finecast. I can't believe I'm going to admit this here... but here it goes: I can't get anything to glue. None of my glues are working on him and the chariot. I even tried the super glue I use for metal models and nothing is working. Help?

What did you use to wash it?

Whenever there is a really small or flimsy part to glue/fit, I usually get a tiny ball of green stuff and then put super glue in the part in fitting to, then the green stuff ball, then super glue on top of that, and fit the other part to it. That creates a super-solid bond that will keep tight.

Can be done when they are still on sprue. Add some soap to warm water and let the sprue bath for 30 min. Use an old toothbrush to rub it. It makes sure the oily protection get removed. Let dry. If this doesn't help you, use mottons green stuff glue mix. It also helps with fixing cracks that I find fine cast has a lot of.

Maybe I didn't clean them enoyugh - I just quickly applied some water & soap, but definitely, not a 30 min bath. Going to try again today.
Thank you for the help!

If it's a finecast model, be careful with how much hot water you use. If it has too much prolonged exposure to heat, it can warp the model. This can be a good/bad thing depending on what you want to achieve.

Much better after a long bath - I just left them in water and soup for a few hours. And the model asembled okay - still sucks compared to plastic tho!

I found asparagus soup to work best for this purpose.

For best finish I would recommend combing bathing in soup and mottdons greestuff with glue.

livewaaaaagh , congratulations on acquiring Settra! Settra may join a unit of Skeleton Chariot unit as normal because he has the 'footprint' of two chariots. Standard chariots are 50x100 mm, Settra's chariot is 100x100 mm (so he takes up two spots in the unit). I really wish this was the case, but unfortunately the Tomb Kings FAQ (ver. 1.4) ruled otherwise: Q: Does Settra’s Chariot of the Gods count as two Chariots for the purposes of determining rank bonuses and the strength of any Impact Hits? (p53) A: No. Settra must be placed at the side of a unit because his base’s footprint is different to that of a normal Chariot (see When Footprints Collide on page 98 of Warhammer). It's a horrible ruling in my opinion, but it is what it is.
