Wilson, Our event is invite only. So far it is: Forces of Order: The Empire, Dwarfs, Bretonnian Forces of Destruction: Goblins, Warriors of Chaos, Chaos Tzeentch Non-Aligned: Ogre Kingdoms and Tomb Kings Wilson, let me know what you want to play. I was hoping you would play Tomb Kings for two reasons. I'd liked to have as may different armies as possible. There are already two Chaos, and if you choose Empire there will be two Empire. Also, the game is loosely set in our campaign. NOTE: magic items will be limited and players will have to share them if they use the same army book, FYI. 100% IN for the Tomb Kings. This will give me a kick in the arse to finish painting a few more things in that army!

I was on the "invitational" side of things. I also think kaltheras needs to join us.

That's really fine it's up to you guys. I have been putting 8th ed campaign mega battle in my on line advertising for the event but I will not put a registration option on the web for 8th ed. You could paypal me directly. However I will very much need a running total of people registered because with four systems in 2 halls we will be fighting for space.

Gary, right now we have 8 players. This may increase a bit more, but the absolute max would be 12 players.
We intend on using four tables (each 6'x4') for the event.
I hope that helps for an idea of space...

Kevin, I did a quick count and I can bring 5,000 points of Tomb Kings. I have JUST enough core models painted and flocked to get me there.
As an aside... Ever realize just how terrible Tomb Kings CORE is without chariots? And I usually run no chariots... well, gonna have to dust them off for this event.

Here's the event description: The Ultimate Alliance of Absolute Power! An 8th Edition, Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Mega-Game Event
Hosted by The Eighth Edition For Life (EEFL) Warhammer Forum Join us at http://www.eefl.freeforums.net
A World of Chaos. A Time of Heroes. An Age of War. The Emperor is dead and the Empire is ripe for plunder. The Forces of Destruction have assembled the Ultimate Army of Evil and have already sacked Stirland and the Moot. Now armies of Goblinoids, Skaven, and the minions of Chaos, continue their path of ruination by invading the key Imperial Province of Talabecland. Yet, the Men of the Empire do not despair. Under the leadership of Reiksmarshal Maximilian Arno and Valten, a rising war-hero said to be Sigmar reincarnate, the Forces of Order have united to preserve the Empire. Should Talabecland fall, the Empire’s first defense will be destroyed and scattered, and the enemies of Order will hold territory deep within Imperial lands in which to launch further invasions. The Forces of Order must hold or the entire Old World will burn… The Ultimate Alliance of Absolute Power is a huge, multiplayer Warhammer Fantasy Battles game using the 8th edition rules set, with more than 20,000 points per side and lasting for the duration of the entire Da Boyz GT weekend! Due to the massive scale of this game, the event is by invitation only. There is no option to register. However, if you are interested in committing to playing in this 8th edition all-weekend event and have a fully painted and flocked 8th edition Warhammer army of a least 5,000 points, contact Kevin Coleman (KevinC) on The Eighth Edition For Life (EEFL) Warhammer Forum at www.eefl.freeforums.net

FYI, army construction rules:
THE ARMIES
The Ultimate Alliance of Absolute Power scenario is fought between two, enormous armies. Each side consists of a team alliance of four or more players with each player in control of their own individual army. The players, or a Game Master (GM), should divide themselves into two allied teams consisting of an equal amount of players per team.
Each player then chooses an army worth up to a maximum of 5,000 points (and a minimum of 4,000 points) from a Warhammer Armies book. Each army will count as a Grand Army as described on page 135 of the Warhammer rulebook.
All models MUST be fully painted (with flocked bases). If you are not sure if a model is fully painted, then assume it is not. Models not fully painted and flocked will not participate in the game and will count as causalities if they are placed on the table (such miniatures shall be deemed to have been immediately struck down by an appropriate deity for their repugnance and removed as causalities).
Also note, the rules rules for alliances as described in the WFB rulebook will apply. The teams will be the Forces of Order vs. the Forces of Destruction. Non-aligned armies will be placed where appropriate.
Magic Items
Each army may only include magic items chosen from the army book specific Magic Item lists described in each Warhammer army book. For example, an Empire army may only choose magic items from the Empire specific magic items found in The Empire army book. If two or more players on the same team are playing an army using the same army book, the players must consult one another to ensure that they do not duplicate the same magic items. Note: there will be others ways to acquire additional magic items in this scenario.
In addition, any other unit that is one of a kind, such as special character, are also 0-1 per side. Meaning, there can only be one Archaon Everchosen, etc. Players on the same side using the same army list must consult to ensure that they are not duplicating special characters, magic items, or any other unit/equipment that is normally a 0-1 choice.
Themed Armies We want to encourage fun and themed armies. If a player has an idea for a cool and themed unit formation or army construction that would normally be illegal, contact KevinC on this forum for possible approval. For example, an army of Yhetees or a unit of Skink chariots, etc.

I would certainly be interested in playing in this awesome sounding battle, just hadn't wanted to invite myself.
If I could participate I could bring any of the following at the required size: Undivided Chaos Warriors (as in, no marks at all), Khorne Chaos Warriors, Beastmen, A mixed mark Chaos Warriors army, or Nurgle Chaos Legion (I need to combine warriors and Daemons for that one).
So please let me know if I can participate, and if so, which army I should bring.

ALSO, If someone is playing Warriors I have about 5000 points (purple colored, I play them as Slaanesh). These are my most "durable" (i.e. gaming friendly) models of all my armies and I would be willing to loan them out to the WoC faction.
More minis on the board!!!!

"duable" hmmm we should probably sit down and discuss what's appropriate in this hall before Wilsonthenarc gets too many strange ideas.

Are we okay with any point total from 4,000-5,000?

Sounds good. At that point level it souls be no big deal if people are off by 200-600 points.

Are we okay with any point total from 4,000-5,000? YES! You are encouraged to bring 5,000 points, but if you cannot, you can bring less – to a minimum of 4,000 points. You must bring at least a 4,000 point army.

Hey, guys! Long time, no read!
Sorry, I've been swamped with my quadruplets of late. They are 15 months old now and getting into EVERYTHING. I've had to set my hobby stuff to the side for a while but its starting to look like I'll be able to start getting back into things a bit. (I've been working on a my Orc Shaman after the kids go down for bed and am almost finished. - tonight probably.)
This event sounds amazing! I'd love to go, but need to know where it is. (I haven't read the entire message - I only have a few minutes before I have to go bathe the kids.)
I missed talking with you guys and sharing stuff! Looking forward to catching up!
