FYI, the event description and the army construction rules can be found in the original post of this thread. Dusting off some old rule books, can I play with legendary 3rd edition rules Lol Sour Slayer is coming boy, is Marster attending this game?

Registration is now open for other systems. Get your hotel. At the one month mark out (so October 4th) I'm going absolutely folks to commit fully. We can either have folks pay cash at the event or paypal in advance to me directly. I'll talk to Kevin further about what's better. Key is once you have commited please don't back out (at least without paying) as space in the hall will be a premium and space I allocate to one event is being taken from another.

I'm happy to allocate more space if you need it. Either way I've started my registration spreadsheet so Kevin send me a list of those who are confirmed from your standpoint. Space is on a first come first served if we are getting close on space between the systems I may need to ask folks to pay earlier to confirm. We are sharing space with 40K this year but have the option to expanding back to the other room.

Dannytee, Yes all the alliance rules in the WFB rulebook will be in play. The sides will be Forces of Order vs. Forces of Destruction. Non-aligned armies, which we do have two (Ogre Kingdoms & Tomb Kings), will go on an appropriate side depending on the final amount of armies/players. Each side will choose an overall Grand Marshal. This will be important because the Grand Marshal, as an actual player, will have several responsibilities (one involves the magic phase). For the magic phase, I was thinking the Winds of Magic will be 4D6. The Marshal, whose turn it is, adds up 4D6 and that's the power dice. The Marshal then distributes the power dice to the various players on his side. The other side gets dispel dice equal to the two highest dice from the Winds of Magic roll. This sounds reasonable for the magic phase to me.

I think paypal in advance would be better as this locks people into the event a little more and minimizes the issue of some one not showing up and then not paying and ending up with a financial issue for the event.

A note on army building for the mega-game.
You can obvious build your army in whatever manner you wish, but note: standard victory points will not be use. Victory points will be awarded based on scenario objectives. The most important units in your army will be Infantry, Cavalry, and Monstrous Infantry.
Your army will need troops.FYI.

One comment I feel I do need to make in regards to this is keep in mind that there will be dwarves on the table. In many tournaments I have played in there are objectives such as have a core unit in the enemy deployment zone at the end of the game or pick up these markers scattered in the corners of the table. For dwarves this is difficult but for some of my enemies that have multiple 90'ish point units of fast cav it is no big deal so a real disadvantage for the dwarves. Now objectives such as hold said point in the middle of the table are much more reasonable in my eyes. But with a game of this size I imagine we would be able to have several different objectives and even of different types so I think it will all balance out. Also, will the scenario be posted prior to us needing to create lists or is the intention that everyone needs to have lists together and then we will be given the scenario?

dannytee Watching Wood Elves play versus Dwarfs in a tournament game with "Capture" or "Objectives" is one of the saddest things a human being can ever watch. Even more so in 4th or 5th editions, without the 2D6" for charging. A 6in charge can never catch a woodland sprite that doesn't want to be caught. Poor stunties. Another page for the Book of Grudges.

Don't worry Dan, I have the Dwarf thing in mind. But also remember there is a lot of time in this game.

I'll post my first draft for your review - Heavy focus on troops. A few characters, a few monsters. I am at 5000 points and haven't picked out even 1 Magic Item yet!
