I notice there is still quite a bit of the orc range available. Did they make more of the orc stuff or was is it less in demand?

Many Orc kits were available for years under AoS, whereas Brets and TKs had lots of pent-up demand on account of being the first "squatted" armies. Also, Orcs and Goblins are well served in the AoS range with various replacement kits that came out, and they've deliberately avoided re-boxing and re-marketing some of the most popular ranges (most Night Goblins and Savage Orcs) for TOW as their kits are still in use in AoS. Finally, if you're someone less bothered by the nature of the game you play, and mainly into the Orcs models/lore, you could do so under AoS, whereas Brets/TKs couldn't outside of those much-ridiculed legacy rules introduced at the start of AoS and not seen since. I suspect Beastmen will be in a similar position when re-released for TOW (save that they never got much in the way of new models in AoS).

Pretty big news on various model ranges leaving the Age of Sigmar range: www.warhammer-community.com/2024/04/04/whats-leaving-the-warhammer-age-of-sigmar-range/To summarise: - Various Stormcast stuff goes; many tears were shed
- Lots of old Skaven going - they're in the new AoS release box (though no minis revealed yet). Many of the binned kits are really old ones long overdue an update, but also Clanrats and Stormvermin plastic kits, plus some decent WFB characters (e.g. Ikit Claw).
- Savage Orcs ("Bonesplitterz") are going entirely. No mention of them coming to TOW, but you'd have to think they will?
- Slaves to Darkness/Warriors of Chaos - various Warcry warbands are on the way out, plus an Underworlds one.
- Beastmen - dropped entirely from AoS... because they're "returning to their old feeding grounds in the World of Legend and Warhammer: The Old World"!
- Various other stuff going - Drycha, Chakax, Valkia, Scyla, and a couple of O&G characters that are in TOW.

Well, that's an update.
Honestly, as a Beastmen player despite being happy for the Old World being a big deal I think that's a pretty crappy move to effectively 'Squat' the Beastmen from the Age of Sigmar setting even though I don't play it.
Also, I think this cements Ungor as being the single 1 miniature model most shafted by GW in the 'play official bases' sweepstakes.
I also think this reduces the amount/likelihood of new minis for the Beastmen in The Old World.
It also seems to confirm that Tzaangors are officially an AOS thing and not getting rules in The Old World.

The Tzaangor part is super bizarre to me; the models are nice, have the necessary equipment, and so on. Plus they could have added the discgoats as options. I suspect it has to do with the rumors of fighting over tracking sales between Dev teams. I played quite a bit of BoC through 3rd ed AOS; sad to see them go, but I've also left AOS and back to ToW either way so...

That's exactly where it's from, but as sedge pointed out, the fact that it's mounted on a base suggests it'll actually get rules for use in the game as a unit - in previous Editions it was simply regarded as a scenery piece or objective. It would be absolutely brilliant to see this happen in the Dwarf Arcane Journal - not a game-changer by any means, of course, but it'd still really show how much care and attention they are lavishing onto TOW.

Huh, I had no idea the Miner kit had one as well. Is it identical to the Battle for Skull Pass version? I have one of those painted up as it's a fun model. I'd love it to have some in-game use.

We know they are re-releasing the classic Bugman's cart model. If they include rules for Bugman's cart, it makes sense to also have rules for the miner's cart and the battle for skull pass cart.

Ah, so it does. Those rules are pretty underwhelming though. They are just mobile objective markers with a token statline.

In fact, the Miner kit has two (one for each of two identical sprues). They're very similar, but the two in the Miners kit have open-topped carts that allow you to put a load of the accessories that come with the kit in them (as shown in the photo), whereas the Skull Pass one of course has a sealed cart. That's exactly where it's from, but as sedge pointed out, the fact that it's mounted on a base suggests it'll actually get rules for use in the game as a unit - in previous Editions it was simply regarded as a scenery piece or objective. Nope I didn't know that... but mainly because I haven't got a copy of it yet But in the above photo the Grudge Pony looks to be actually fighting on the Dwarf side, trotting towards its Greenskin foes, rather than simply mooching along the board as a moving objective.
