aaaand to summarise... is correct I forget that Cav is the same as chariots etc for DT. It’s infantry that don’t have to test if they only move normally, even with curse on them.

BEASTS OF NURGLE! They are much better than they appear on paper. Near unkillable with four potent lines of defense: - -1 to hit
- high toughness (T5)
- reliable save (4+ regen, with a 5+ ward serving as backup)
- large pool of wounds (4 wounds per model)
Offensively, a large number of attacks (average of 4.5 per model + stomp) and poison will usually see them through to victory. Couple that with being unbreakable (albeit unstable) + solid movement and you have an ultra reliable unit that will beat nearly any unit of equal points. Their only real CC weakness (aside from the banner of the world dragon) is an elite unit with amazing armour (1+). By elite, I'm talking about things like Skullcrushers and Demigryph Knights, as they will still manage to grind down most heavily armoured units. I always knew were solid, but I didn't fully appreciate their true potential until seeing them perform in a mathhammer close combat tournament over on Lustria Online. Basically 16 of the best non-character close combat units battling it out against each other. The field consisted of: Skullcrushers of Khorne [Ensorcelled weapons] K'daai Destroyer White Lions of Chrace [Banner of the World Dragon] Chaos Warriors [MoN, Halberds] Arachnarok Spider Demigryph Knights Mournfang Cavalry [Ironfist, Heavy Armour] Black Guard of Naggarond Witch Elves Har Ganeth Executioners Hell Pit Abomination Beasts of Nurgle Savage Orc Big'Uns [AHW] Chaos Trolls Soul Grinder [MoN, Daemonbone Claw] Hammers Out of that field of killers, the Beasts of Nurgle only lost 3 times (one of which was only because of the Banner of the World Dragon) and finished second place overall. They are one of the very best units in the entire game of Warhammer. Period.

Beasts of Nurgle are great, but you'll get one or the other of these saves, not both.
